It's a pity this phone isn't available in the US as it shows that not every flagship needs to cost $800+ (my 6gb 64gb was $450). Beautiful design, premium materials, top grade internals and lifetime support with software updates. MIUI is endlessly customizable with excellent battery optimizations.
The cameras are good enough for me and video calls with the front camera are fine if you remember to hold it at the correct angle.
Xiaomi is making a play for the global market and they have a winner with the Mi Mix 2. With GSM and LTE bands for most of the globe, this carrier unlocked handset can be used almost anywhere. With 6GB RAM and the latest Qualcom processor, the internals are as good as phones for 2x the money. What really makes the phone stand out is the 6" display in a phone the size of a 5.2". MIUI 9 has really made this a much better device as well. Standard Android notifications are a welcome addition Great battery life! If you are not a fan of MIUI, Nova launcher works well on this device. The only drawback that I have found is that there is some bad audio compression on videos taken with the stock camera app. Hopeful that this will be fixed with the Oreo update
