Pros
Solid build, sophisticated dual-glass design.
Lighter than the predecessor, pleasant to handle.
Cons
Battery life is very good, but a bit short of the Xperia Z3's 85-hour endurance rating. We'll retest with a retail unit as soon as we have one.

Phone owned for less than a year

After owning early Androids then Iphones for the last 5 years I went from Iphone 6 ( non water proof) to this phone that is waterproof and at a cost of less than Half. The Marshmallow UI works well and Sony bloatware is limited. I wish the battery would last longer, under normal use it runs the phone for 6 to 7 hours before completely depleted. Fast response and nice display. The camera could be better, it suffers focus issues at times and the colors are a little washed out. The Heat problem that gets talked about, Well Sony has really reduced the problem through throttling the 8 cores, running 5 at time and the only time it gets really warm is when the HD video recording is running and then it does run for a great while before being really hot ( more than 30 minutes) I use the phone all day at the clinic and since I do not use it for HD videos its a non issue. Since the phone can be bought for around $300 usd new I recommend it as a good solid buy.

Good phone

Phone owned for less than a year

Viewed on its own, the Sony Xperia Z3+ is a proper flagship with all the trimmings. Next to the Xperia Z3, it's just a facelift. Perhaps Sony is ahead of us on this one, and will deliver the Xperia Z4 later this year. If this happens, the Z3+ will be reduced to a mere seat warmer. Should Sony decide to wait, the "plus" will suffice like it has for Apple, more than once. To be fair though, the question for Sony must be "when" rather than "if". But we're sure they've got it all figured out. For now, the Xperia Z3+ shapes up to be a great all-rounder and we can't wait to get a retail unit and put it through its paces.
