An amazing smartphone that Sony killed it with its entail price around 600$, i bought this phone 64GB for around 300$ 8 months ago and couldn't believe myself, this phone is catching up with the flagships easily, and the best buy for me, Dual sim and hybrid sd card up to 256GB.
Note if you are encountering camera shut down and overheat report then you are certainly recording video with 1080p 60fps stabilization active, and this is very common for such a massive task, if you want 60fps for long time then you need to deactivate the stabilization.
I am using this phone Xperia X 64GB since last 3 weeks now. Below is my honest view:
Background: I have used Lumia 830, Xperia Z, Xperia Z1 Compact, Mi5, Redmi 2, HTC Butterfly 2, One Plus X, iPhone 6S and now this phone.
My last phone: iPhone 6S 64 GB
In the past, I was always let down by Sony, despite being a fan of their excellently designed phones.
Largely due to-
1. Heating issues
2. Bezel sizes, too uncomfortable to hold
3. Slow Camera
All the 3 shortcomings have been fixed with this phone. Removing waterproof, and glass back ensured better heat dispassiation. At 69 mm its easy to hold in hand. And camera shutter speed has improved a lot and is now fast.
Also Sofware UI has been refreshed, and now its very very lightweight, almost near stock experience with touches of Sony. With superfast fingerprint reader.
What more you you need from a phone?
I dont care about benchmarks, for me all 3D games run smoothly.
Price?
I paid Rs.53500 for iPhone 6S 64 GB, now I realise for this price X is more value for money.
Specs/Price ratio?
Chinese brands sure do give you specs, but they lack longetivity, quality, stability, and most important they lack a soul/character. They simply don't have the class.
Sony is a legacy brand and this phone is the most Perfect Sony Phone till date. Go ahead, you wont be disappointed. I guarantee.
Good smartphone, better than any other phone, bit pricier, but definitely better than phonearena review scores. Don't be foolish by looking at the snapdragon 650, it's doing its job perfectly, even better than snapdragon 810.
The Sony Xperia X is a high-quality phone and if this is where the story ended, all would have been fine. But no, Sony decided to overhaul its well-known flagship lineup, mid- and low-end too, and replace them all with the X-series.
The Xperia X Performance is clearly eyeing the Z5's spot at the top. And the XA Ultra is the C6 Ultra in all but name. But where is the Z5 Compact's successor? And how come the Xperia X takes over from the M-series, but at a much higher price tag?
The Sony Xperia X is a great upper-midranger. The high-res camera, stereo speakers and robust chipset do set it above the average midrange crowd. But so does, in a bad way, its exorbitant asking price. The market is full of flagship wannabes and the Sony Xperia X is perhaps better than most. But even if it was the best, something about the attitude seems wrong. It's almost as if Sony is looking down on the competition: "Phew, they just look expensive."
