Walkman- and walkman only!

Phone owned for

Excellent music performance with real stereo speakers..
Great bassy sound
Cute handy design with smooth slider..
Good display

Well, these are the only positives! It falls below average in all other areas. Not the usual SE interface- misses a lot of functions. No Themes supported except the five built in ones. No PC suite or apps supported(no obex), no synchronisation in any manner. (I had to transfer contacts one by one via bluetooth) No updates via pc or web. Data cable only for mass storage.

No Notes option in organiser. Tasks and calendar are useless. Voice recording only for 30 seconds and no conversation recording. The memory card browsing is too slow- though it supports 4GB. Camera sucks. Video player is good.

Messages capacity of inbox+sent box+drafts is 100 sms max! No shortcuts button- only 4 navi keypad shortcuts. Files and images cannot be sorted in any manner. No image zooming.

Battery life worst- 1 day to 1.5 days. Many bugs in and around to add to all these. Java support is good. Basic internet also working good. Opera mini 3 is supported, not higher versions.

This is the kind of software used in W302 genre of phones- not feeling like SE! However a different ringtone can be selected for each profile.
And I got a major problem- talking with slider closed; the other end recieves my voice distorted/unclear. I have found out many people having the same problem in their W395.

Anyhow the walkman is remarkable- I must say.
