the standout slimness

Phone owned for

a great upgrade to t650. looks wise it wins hands down in its class and has good features to boot too.
though its feature are mentioned and self-explanatory ,the real test is in a direct comparsion to the closest rival - samsung soul u800.
so here goes-
the first thing in which you see a clear lead by samsung is the memory department. the u800 has a whopping 1gb onboard mem with
micro sd exapanson upto 8gb! whereas s/e is still stuck on its ungainly n expensive m2(512mg on box) ,the phone mem is also a meagre
25mb. now thats certainly a deal breakr 4me.
next is camera. both have the same 3.15mp camera WITHOUT autofocus and a led flash and produce similar results- no clear lead. But one faeture that sets s/e apart is its tagging feature which use cell towers to pin point location
video recording somewhat favours s/e - qvga@15fps vs qcif @15fps on u800
connectivity list are the same with samsung providing a secondary cif camera to assist video calls on 3g networks- lead to samsung.
both phone has the same netfront 3.4 browser but with one major differs that samsung provides a severely trimd verson whereas s/e has a full blown one which is pleasant to use- lead to s/e
in UI departmnt samsung continues to be plauged with minor lags and slow memory card reading whreas s/e has the same zippy interface.
another nice touch tos/e is the media centr which presents multimedia contents in a cool way - lead to sony
applications are aplenty in s/e  with samsung falling behind a little. sony comes with google maps loaded and can use external gps reciever. also  games in s/e  runs great without any  lag ,though the same cant be said bout samsung
built qualty of both is great. Both are metallic finished slimness personified and will defininately loook great. but the battery cover of samsung is a bit flimsy and s/e provides somewhat bettr ergonomics.samsung has a better screen with 16m colors but s/e isnt far behind with 262k colors. also s/e has a bettery life than u800
audio quality of samsung is above average with nice dynamic range but strugles to kep distortion in check. also thankfully a two piece headphone with adapter is providd.the onboard speaker is a bit weak but gets the job done.
s/e is also a great sounding phone with nice n warm sound. onbord are stereo speakers withh good volume and beats samsung easily but it has a hollow sound
in india samsung is pitted at around rs9500 wheras s/e is 11690 for the same feature. Both are good phone but samsung gets a green light because of its low price and memory specs.
