Phone owned for more than a year

I've been using the XP& in a work releated role for about 2 years. We went with the XP7 to combine several devices (radio, gps, email, camera)into one package, with an emphasis on PTT.
The device has failed on all accounts.
Biggest gripe is the PTT functionality. I find the PTT button is stiff, and difficult to activate when wearing gloves or in the manufacturers holster. Using the Bell network PTT app it constantly drops transmissions, will not receive transmissions randomly if near other devices. The device is too wide to comfortably use as a handheld radio. Accessories options are limited for the device and the connector port for headphones/remote microphones is poorly designed and located. The "locking cam" is a joke and easily breaks. Also outside of the 3.5mm headphone jack all the accessories are propriety. We have attempted to use bluetooth mic devices but while they sync with the phone they aren't companionable with the app. As a PTT device i would rate this a zero.
as a phone it's not much better. I can't tell if issues are network or device but out of the 60 or so devices we use call quality is a constant issue, with outgoing calls sounding like the user is underwater, or in coming calls sounding like the speaker is talking through a 6 foot long PVC pipe. Issues often pop up randomly and can't be recreated.
Build quality is very good, and the device is hefty and feels like it could withstand a drop from the top of a skyscraper. Battery life is also very good, able to easily make it through a 12 hour shift with constant use.
As for the rest of funcionality, it runs like a simple smart phone. Most of the features on my device are locked out, but with an androis OS i cant see it suffering much ion that end. Screen resolution is low and the camera feels like 6 years out of date.

Overall impressions of this device are rather grim. As a phone I wouldn't recommend it, and as PTT decive it would score even lower. I would recommend this for small work crews that needed PTT, but didn't need to rely on that functionality
