Well for Starters I got this phone because I am a fan of Samsung phones but I found that it dropped calls and when I tried to download a ring tone I was unable to hear it unless it came already installed as the tone so I called the company I use and got a replacement and it to didn't play the downloaded ringtones loud enough even though that the volume was set as high as it could go so as for this phone I am DISAPPOINTED in samsung I figured that they would get better as they inproved thier technology but I wonder about that now!
I am a huge Samsung fan, and I have had this phone for over 6 months. Since most of what I do is text messaging, I can't sit here and complain about memory problems or anything. It doesnt have very good signal strength, and it dropped calls ALL the time, which could have been the service and not the phone. My MAIN complaint with this phone was that about 2 months ago it started randomly shutting off and turning itself back on. I would be right in the middle of a text message, and there goes the power off/on. I hate complaining about this phone simply because I liked the design of the phone, it is slim, small, and the buttons are very easy to feel. I just wish the quality of this phone matched the design. Everytime I would talk to someone on my phone they would ask if they could just call me back on my house phone or they'd ask me to just call them back later. I guess my voice would sound really cracked and I dont think it was my location, cause I would call from all over the place, and there are tons of towers in this town.
Honestly, everyone I know complains about my phone, so much that my best friend added a line to her verizon acount and got me a samsung thru them (the Samsung U740) just so that I could talk to her and my boyfriend without irritating anyone. But I liked my phone while it worked for the first few months. I just wished it still worked the same. Would I buy it again? NO. Would I sign up with Tmobile and take it as a free phone? NO. But who knows, you maylike it!
At first glance this seems to be the perfect phone for me. I mean it plays mp3, has a decent camera 1.3 mega pixel, plays video, has all 4 messaging services, has bluetooth 2.0 and an attractive design. I mean everything appears to meet all my needs but then there's the memory problem. This phone offers no memory slot which makes perfect since to have one. Not having the memory slot just voids out most of the extra features. I do understand that Sprint offers this same phone with the expansion memory slot added. Now that is a good buy. Tmobile was stupid not to get this feature with there phone.
this is a bad phone.....i think that it is worhtless when it comes to the music player or the camera.. cme on a 1.3 mega pixel camera is good and if you want a moving camera. it does not stay still for nothing and the music player dont get me started on that it can only hold a few songs and pictures.... i knew when they told me there was a memory slot they were lying cause i no im not blind ...i dont see one so watever they are telling you DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE CAUSE ITS A FLUKE that looks good on the outside but sucks on the inside!
I did loads of research looking for a good phone, and this phone seemed perfect, but I was very dispointed. It has all the features you could want, except none of them work right... let me explain. This phone has everthing you need...EXCEPT:
1)You can't add a memory card and since the internal memory is ONLY 21 mg, you can't add more than a handful of songs and pictures...this basically makes it pointless to have MP3 player when you can't put more than 4 songs on your phone (so many sites say this phone takes miniSD, but unless my phone is a fluke..IT DOES NOT).
2) It has a speaker phone...but the speaker is very low.
3) The menu on this phone I do not like at all (you have to do a lot of navigating to get to your desired area, and the short cut keys are limited (2 shortcut keys to get you tothe camera, and they can't be changed...why???)
These were the major ones that bothered me the most that really dropped the value of the phone in my opinion
ok, i thought the same thing about my lgcu500 the web site said it had memory port but i couldnt find it when i looked at the phone turns oout you ahve to take the battery off and really look into it to see wher it says insert memory memory card, i did nto notice it right away unless you look hard enough 8 inches away is not going to cut it.
Since you mention the memory...
The T-Mobile site does indeed say that the T619 does have a memory slot. Samsung says it does not. I am looking at the phone 8 inches away from me and I can say it does NOT have extended memory capabilities. The total memory of this phone is 35 MB and about 4MB of that is used before you start adding data. (That includes a sample video and song) It does have everything else. If your thinking your going to get a good still camera you will. This is not a Ipod. The next step up for Samsung for up to a gig of memory upgrades is not a flip phone and has a price tag to match what it does. Did I answer your question in there somewhere? Nope this phone does not have a memory slot but it is packed with some really great features and I am more then happy with the quality. FYI, Wireless Bluetooth transfer for data to and from your computer is nice. If you don't want to spent the money on Bluetooth you can get the OEM transfer cable off ebay at a third of what Samsung is asking.
This phone is great except you CAN"T add a memeory card to it! So basically the MP3 player and 1.3 mp camera work great but you can't put more than a few pictures or songs on your phone. The store I bought it from told me I could add memory to it but when I got it home there was no slot for it. I'm taking it back! DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE IF YOU WANT A CAMERA OR A MP3 PLAYER! Who ever disigned this phone wasn't thinking. Hope this helps
