I still have this phone as my back up. I've used this phone for almost 3 years and it's just like new still! This phone was one of the slimmest slider phones to date at its release date and was packed with a lot of features. The speakers on this phone was surprisingly strong, crisp, clear, and quite frankly...haven't owned a phone since that has wowed me in that department. Surprisingly strong camera as well.
The phone is so fantastic, i love it. It has great multimedia programs, a well camera, loud speakers, a cool and good looking design, a nice size, perfect menu, genialy organizer programs, awesome contact functions, super aku and much spacememory with micro SD. Its just the perfect alround phome.
BUY IT!!!!
it's the best because it can do so many things for the value of money and its is the slimmest slider in the world plus its really good looking phone ever
My personal opinion on this model is that it is a great looking, stylish phone and has all the features you need. I had a Sony Ericsson model (W800i) as my previous phone and that had gadgets such as VideoDJ (editing videos) and PhotoDJ (editing photos) and more and at the time, i thought that would be usefull, but it isn't after a while.
I just dont like it when you press the middle button on the home screen on the Samsung D900, it goes onto the internet and thats quite annoying (not just this phone, but with the previous models like the Samsung E900) Its not a big problem but just annoying.
I also think the musc output through the headphoes are not as clear as my previous Sony Ericsson Walkman 800 phone but this might be something that Samsung may want to put their thinking caps on and look at how to improve their future models because Sony Ericsson Walkman phones are becoming more popular than other models and Samsung can become as popular if they create a name or special edition models like Nokia have done by having the N-Series phones in the market.
Overall i really like the phone and would reccommend it to others who may be looking into this specific model. Its definately a thumbs up for me, Its just great.
This has been nothing short of amazing!! I think that this is one of the best phones that is available on the market. The signal strength is great. I don't know what some people are talking about the signal and dropping calls cuase that hasn't happened to me yet. This is one of the most fully featured phones that is not a pda that you can purchase. And the best part about it may be that if you purchase the phone you don't have to extend your contract!!!
Samsung SGH-D900, you deserved of being the BEST GSM MOBILE PHONE this year! Please be informed, all PhoneArena.com enthusiasts, SGH-D900 has it all! Please visit www.gsmawards.com... Thanks....
I recommend this phone anytime. I especially love the video feature which enables it to view on fullscreen, its immense, especially when i watch films on it! (you press 1 while playing a video - its sideways).
Where to start?
This is by far the most fun phone I have own. An absolute gem. I ordered the limited edition wine colour and it is stunning! The fit and finish of the phone is second to none. It feels so great in the hand. It slides with a smooth ease that is only rivaled by it's Samsung T629 cousin.
Pros:
Solid reception
Camera/Pic quality
Ease of music player
Style
QVGA screen
Fit and Finish quality
Ringtones sound great
Earpiece clarity
Strong vibrate mode
Built in photo editor
A2DP Stereo headphone support
Above average (thin phone) battery life
Cons:
Menu can be confusing.
Received pics small (?)
Cannot set custom tone for messages
Speakerphone only average
It's hard to find many flaws in this device. I love the reaction I get from my fellow phone geeks when they see it. Above and beyond that, it just feels and performs like the $300+ price suggest it should. I'm extremely please with this purchase.
superb phone
im really pleased with it, good sound quallity and great camera. definitelly a head turner. you cant find any auto focus phone that looiks this good!
I purchased the D900 a few weeks ago. It was to be my primary phone with my Razr V3i taking the backseat. Well my Razr is back to being my primary phone with the D900 being my first runner up. I get a poor signal in the building I work in. I'm located in Downtown Boston Mass. My Razr has a great signal in this building as well as on the floors (it's a 44 story building) My D900 ALWAYS reads: NO SERVICE or LIMITED SERVICE. My Razr on the other hand ALWAYS has a signal with the exception of being in the elevator. This recently happened last weekend while out and about within T-Mobiles service area. I was NOT amused. The screen on the D900 is BEAUTIFUL! Sharp,Crisp colors the size difference between it and the Razr took some getting used to but BOY was it worth it! And the camera? MY,my,my! My dislikes with the D900? I don't like the tones you're given when you recieve a text message. Don't like ANY of them. With the Razr whatever tone you have selected (even the MP3's) for whichever caller ID you have set up you hear the SAME tone when you recieve a text from that person. Pretty simple. If you're purchased a D900 I hope YOUR reception is better than mine. Other than that it's a good phone. But NOT worth the money in my opinion.
d900 is cute and sexy phone, and and and and thats all... there is nothing else, if anyone who just want to show off with mobile phone, this is the best in the market.
of all the sliders from samsung, d900 look stylish than any other phone in the market...
3mega pixel camera quality is pretty good, screen resolution is bright and clear in normal condition, if u try to see outside in little sun light, u can see nothing other than a black box in ur hand...
software in d900 is just copy from samsung's earlier versions of sliders, expect that they have stupid theme, nothing gr8 about that.. and everywhere font is sooooo big that u might think its designed for visually impaired, so the software is worst and UI is attractive...
for techies who want to have j2me fun, d900 really sucks , it is so hard to install ur j2me application through usb or bluetooth, even samsung pc studio for d900 doesnt give option for that, u have give some codes to that, even if u do most of the time it does work, the mobile restarts itself like million times...
and the samsung pc studio, through which u can sync with pc is so simple that its similar to notepad, paint, wordpad in windows os, so software again sucks...
so expect its look, stylish and cute, everything else sucked sucked sucked sucked sucked sucked my money out of my wallet.
conclusion:
if u want to show off, sure u can go ahead and buy, or else its total waste of money, D900 is a "USELESS"...
OK, I travel, members of household travel both domestically and global treking ...
I was asked to buy the Samsung SGH-D900 to add to my plan with Sprint.
After repeated calles, the sales force did not know of the product, (T-MObile does...), and their global commo rep., cooperation in addressing questions of support was terminal.
This is a good phone ..... why is global player-want-to-be so backward????????????????????????????????
Go check your stock pricing and short it !!!!
Best regards for your holidays.
OKHobieman
a sleek one, juz my type but got frustrated with font, so big, but also very nice..i like it, my friend have one too, we love the pixel in the picture its big..
This phone is absolutely amazing, I would not hesitate for one second to recommend it people. The camera is especially great, best pictures I have ever seen on a phone.
Simply fantastic!
i hate this phone it is no "king"
first off, it is about 9 inches long slid out
next it is almost as wide as my hand, and the big square at the bottom makes texting really hard, the camera indoors is pathetic and the light is really just a litlle led that juices the battery, this phone is so bad for me that i am having to take it back. i just they accept it as the case and screen have been scratched all over from just being in my pocket.
This beautiful phone is DA best
IT IS WICKED
never seen before mobile fantastick like this
well done SAMSUNG Well done
i've D900 and n80 and bleave me when i say D900 is the best it must be The KING
Had my phone for a week. As thus far, either with the phone or searching on line, there is no way to activate a call without using your hands. HandsFree? Ha.
