Thought Id like a physical KB but I don't. Touch screen too sensitive. Full of more locked garbage programs you cant get rid of than a disney DVD. This thing is so full of junk, especially the AT MediaNet browser- totally worthless and 3rd party appls like Google Maps and Opera Mini dont work well, nag you every 3 seconds about using data, and the interfaces with them are awful. You CANNOT surf with this phone. Calls are OK,music and video players OK, the PC software for it is primitive. Texting is good. Ratings relate to ATT version. A clean unlocked customizable might be very good!?
i just bought this phone about 3 days ago but i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! i would recomend this phone to anybody wanting a new phone with lots of cool features but doesnt need all the smartphone anoying menus and crap. awesome amazing great fantastic texting phone really cool music player too!
The Samsung Impression is a very good phone all around. It does have some problems here and there but nothing too major. First ill start with the look, It is very visually appealing with its dark blue shell and very large and bright touchscreen. Its rounded shape gives it a good feel in your hand whether you are talking or texting.
All screens are easy to navigate and see clearly. The sensivtive touch screen allows for nice scrolling through Contacts or texts. Phone call clarity is good but could be louder. while speaker phone seems to be near perfect. The touchwiz application on the main screen is very nice and allows for quick access to all sorts of apps contacts or pictures very quickly.
Now for the rough stuff. Texting could use some work. while it is easy to use and navigate, while using the qwerty keypad if you type too fast not all of your letters seem to get recognized. and most time you use the on screen qwerty keypad the phone will freeze. another issue is the phone will stop sending text radomly. Not sure what the issue is. It just wont work. Im sure both of these issues could be fixed with a software update but there is not an update for it yet.
THE CAMERA. the camera is pretty amazing and chalk full of great features. Its a 3mp camera and is perfect for uploading pics to website or 5x7 pics. The best camera on a phone ive had yet and has the most features. It also has a panorama mode for some amazing pictures. the pics i uploaded were taking with the cameraphone
Overall this a good camera with alot of features. it has a few flaws but all could be fixed with some updates from samsung. I highly reccomend this phone
I have been a Samsung fan for years now. We have had our phone about 2 months now the phone is very durable, functionable and sleek. My husband and I are always getting asked "what kind of phone is that?" . I'm able to take great pictures with my phone. I love it!!
The Impression boasts of touch screen, which comes with Samsung’s AMOLED display. The screen is AMAZING, it looks bright and saturated with brilliant colors. And it is a sturdy phone. The touch screen is very responsive, the keyboard has a nice feel.
Impression. By far! it's the nicest looking phone out of those, and has that awesome huge screen. The colors just pop out. it's just a great phone. And with the AMOLED screen, it's just brilliant. The Impression is pretty much a messaging phone with a lot of features.
I just recently purchased the Impression & i'm liking it. What i love about the impression its awesome display and colors, the 3D sound and most of all the slide out qwerty keyboard and actually you have all 3 options when texting you can use the regular touch number pad or you can use rotate it into landscape and use the touch screen qwerty keyboard, and last but not least you can use the slide out full keyboard all 3 options the choice is yours.
Not the best phone i've had. Frequent freezing, then it restarts itself. My daughter bought two, gave one to me, she has the freezing problem with hers. But, she has to shut it down and restart it herself.
The Impression is just awesome. THe touchscreen doesnt lag, scrolling is a breeze. The keyboard feels good too, and i like how you could customize your pictures.
Just a great phone. The screen is really bright, keyborad feels awesome, and like the guy before me the internet is really fast. The touchscreen is really responsive also. The camera also has alot of features when customizing your pictures.
Best Phone I ever had. Big Bright Screen. Roomy spacious Keyboard. Awesome Camera. Super fast internet, and its not even a smartphone.
I've had this phone for a couple days now...and it is a very good phone, it looks really nice, and it performs well (no lag what-so-ever.) Dont listen to that idiot that posted the 1st review, the idiot didnt even have the phone...i can understand if he had it and returned it cuz he didnt like it...but the IDIOT NEVER OWNED THE PHONE...My only problem with the phone is that not all programs turn depending on how you turn the phone, and the batter is BAD, if you are goin to be out for a full day, make sure you bring your charger and a car charger is also a must...but all in all its a great phone.
The other day my phone plan went up, and i couldn't decide between the impression and the LG Xenon. I finally came to the conclusion that I wanted the Samsung Impression more, because of it's AMOLED screen and its roomy keyboard. I'm glad i made that descision! I absolutely love my new phone! I'm really a smartphone person (I had the HTC Fuze before), but the Impression is a really fun and simple phone. It was a challenge for me, not having my Office to go, or using Touch Flo 3D, but TouchWiz is just as fun, and I got used to not taking notes every now and then. I really like this phone, and I think AT&T did a great job! Two thumbs up! A great first impression!
I went yesterday to play with Samsung's new Impression at an AT&T store. If you guys have noticed the name of the phone is misleading and not necessarily that all impressions are good. After picking up the phone it was only a matter of minutes before I started becoming aggitated with the phone. The touchscreen was not very responsive, and most of the time when i was typing something the phone would switch to a different screen. Exploring the interent was quick as expected, but that doesn't make up for features the phone has left out, such as threaded messaging (even cheap phones are starting to intigrate this feature). After 10 minutes with the Impression I gave up trying to find something about it that would make it worth buying. A dissapointing half-ass release from Samsung.
