Galaxy Z flip 5 (6 month review)

Phone owned for less than a year

I have put this phone through quite a bit and it's still just as good as when I purchased it, however I do recommend you buy the case made for this phone by Samsung.(I've seen videos of people dropping it from hights less then what i have without the case and breaking it.) I've dropped this from chest hight (about 5 feet or so) directly onto concrete and it has no visible damage. The camera is fantastic, so good that I've put off buying one because this meets my needs. It's definitely water resistant, but not water proof so don't go swimming with it. It keeps dust out of the hinges pretty well but try to avoid closing or opening it if you're somewhere sandy. It preforms great on all games I've tried (on max graphics) like CoDM, Terraria, WzM, DbDM, and many others. I see no reason not to buy this over the galaxy z flip 6.

Excellent Flip Phone!

Phone owned for less than a year

I'm really liking this phone! I still have my S23 which has better battery life but not by as much as you would think. Battery life is solid for a flip phone. Standbye time is very good.People will say tht the outer display isn't as useful and that isn't really true if you download the Good Lock app from the Galaxy Store. The Razr+ still has a better external screen, but not by much after you download that app. I love the form factor. I can keep it in my pocket when I run and workout at the gym without fear of it falling out of my pocket. I love this phone. I'm done with bar phones, except as backup devices. Be aware that Samsung DeX is not supported on the Flip 5. I never use it so it's not an issue for me. FIVE years of updates! The competition isn't doing that.
