I got this phone a long time ago and it was a decent phone, but the software was pretty bad. If you have an S5 Neo still running Android 6 you should update to 7. The battery wasn't very good. But aside from that it was pretty good! Also, Samsung, why did you update this phone to Android 7 2 days after Android 8 came out. I'd also recommend putting in a MicroSD card. I've also threw it across my room and it still worked fine. Very durable.
I've bought the phone in 2015 December.
It's a good fast phone except that my battery started to drain in june.
In november 2016 it had a whistle while charging, at the end it stopped charging so I had to send the phone up to fix the problems.
Now I have the phone 1.5 year and the screen came loose, the cpu gets hotter than any other phone that old, also the phone started draining again with the battery, even with new batteries. The display is fine 1080P only sad that it came loose.
It's a fast and good phone so I would recommend it if you really need a phone that is still up to date for the todays apps.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo is slightly better than the Galaxy A5 (2016) in specs. The price I got the phone for was great (C$360 Unlocked) and it works as good as any Galaxy S-lineup phone would. However the build quality can be better as Samsung reverted to their old Galaxy S5 design as opposed to the new Gorilla Glass design seen on the Galaxy S6 - Galaxy S7 lineups. To reduce the price Samsung also removed a lot of features from the phone that were seen on the Galaxy S5, such as USB 3.0, IR Blaster and Fingerprint sensor. it does however retain its HRM sensor. All in all the phone is great and responds fast to the touch. If you're looking for a Mid-High end range phone that is fast and you're not too worried about features this is the phone for you.
