Best phone I have used so far

Phone owned for more than a year

I came to this phone after selling Moto X 2013. At first it was slightly hard for me to come back to TouchWiz after using Vanilla android, but got settled down in short time.

The thing which absolutely made me loved this phone is its display, it is just fantastic. I have never seen a display this nice, and I use the Movie/Cinema mode, and for me the colour calibration was more than okay. The display just shines, its awesome. Next thing obviously is the S Pen and the overall integration of it to the apps like S Note etc. God knows how many times I took down a phone no. or an address when I couldn't find my pen, that was a life saver. Then the call quality and reception, both were very good. And for a phone of 5.7 inches I would say it was compact enough. The audio output was good too. And then there was the IR blaster. And then there was the battery life, which was really good, especially on Lollipop. 4-5 hours or SOT was very much achievable, and this was after I used the phone for almost a year, and it was charged twice a day almost every now and then. Day to day tasks were more than fine, there was slight hiccups here and there, blame TouchWiz for that. But I really liked the 5.0 release of Samsung. The ONLY thing which was a little less-right was the software experience, vanilla android is still better, but TW has changed dramatically, and its improving even now. And the camera lacked OIS, and I didn't like that, but for day time shots it was good.

This was probably my 33rd or 34th phone, and I can firmly say this is the best phone I have ever used. I enjoyed this phone for a good 14 month period, and I wished to use it even more, but I somehow messed it up, and the phone doesn't boot any more. So keenly looking to get the Note 4 now.

Thank you Samsung for making a good product, and having SD card and removable battery, and IR blaster, wake up and bring back those features back for latest flagships or be Titanic.

horrible phone

Phone owned for more than a year

The most important thing a phone has to do is communicate. This phone fails horribly. If I can't see a tower the there is no reception.
All the processor and other things this phone has are useless without the ability to receive and send voice or data.

This device is the best for me

Phone owned for less than a year

First i had a galaxy s3,then i upraded to Note 3 i used 5 months, they i decided to upgrade to galaxy s6 witch i used 3 days because the battery life is bery poor,10 hours of normal usage without power saving mode and luminosity to auto, they i trade it for galaxy note 4,but...the battery life was better then s6 but weaker then Note 3,and note 4 had overheating issues because of the big proccesor, then i went back to note 3,and i will never change it again :)

Phone owned for more than a year

A very powerful device with great performance. Even the most demanding users can do everyting they want with thia machine. There are a few things that samsung should have improve from previous modes, such as built quality, but overally thia phone is a tool tha makes your life easier and faster.

Mediocre for such an expensive phone!

Phone owned for more than a year

I have been using the Note series starting with Note 1. Note 1 died on me once, Note 2 twice.. So called SDS, the Sudden Death Syndrome. This one, the third of the series is no better than its predecessors.

First of all the build quality of this phone is terrible. The cheap metal coating on the sides and on the stylus chips away so easily.. and mine is in an Otterbox Commuter case..

The Touchwiz UI that comes with it is crap and needs to be replaced right away with something like Apex etc.

The battery is now loose so everytime I put it on a desk etc. a little too rough, the thing shuts down..

The GPS sometimes works and takes ages to lock on..

The camera sucks too.. don't worry.. it's not your terrible photography skills.. it's the darn camera that captures those out-of-focus pictures..

It hangs quite often.. especially if you're a power user.. beware!

In short, I'm selling this piece of .hit phone and switching to Apple.. Samsung again? NEVER!

its good not more than that

Phone owned for less than 3 months

i thought this device is the one but in fact , its too much for its price , the specifications of the device doesn't worth its price , worth the cost of it , the specifications must be more , its not water proof , and its not heavy and made from premium materials , its extremely normal .

The Beast from within

Phone owned for less than a year

The best phablet ever. Not phablet before, as in the only phablet that can touch the note 3, IS the note series. Which every year always gets better!! Love being able to do so much!! so much customization!

Great device fails in what it is good at !!!

Phone owned for less than 3 months

I have been living with my sm-n900 note 3 ( thats the octa core version ) for almost 3 months and the device is almost perfect , but ... there is always a but ... , I am having few problems with the screen itself , the purple smearing/shadowing when the pixels go from black to another color is really annoying , sometimes when I watch movies with fast movement in dark scenes black just becomes purple , another big issue is that my screen is divided into 3 thirds the lower third of the screen is the ( yellowest ) then the middle third of the screen is less yellow and the upper third of the screen is the least ( yellow ) , what I mean that the screen has three different color temperatures !! although this is not visible unless it is completely dark around , still it is annoying xD

One of the best smartphone ever made

Phone owned for less than a year

This is a near perfect phone in my opinion. I love everything about it except the built quality. But the built quality isn't even bad at all, I still love it but I still wish it had a more premium built to it. Other than that, this is an amazing phone and anyone who is considering buying this phone, you should. This phone is a go!!

Samsung NoTe 3 review

Phone owned for more than a year

In My experience, the Galaxy Note 3 is one of the best phones that I could have owned, even I did trade it in on a iPhone 6 for other reasons not because of the phone but because of what the rest of my family owns. no I didn't get the iPhone 6+ because I would've just gotten a Note 4 instead of that, but overall one of the best phones especially with its size.

The CS Voice quality of Note3 is not good.

Phone owned for less than a year

The normal voice call quality is very low. when ever i call to anyone, they always complained me about the voice quality. my voice is not properly audible to the other person if I talk in a Normal voice. Every time i have to talk in a loud voice. My friend has a Galaxy S5 & he doesn't have any such issue. we have compered both (S5 & Note3)just to confirm the defect. Never expects such kind of basic issues from a flagship device.

Upgraded from a two-year-old S III and yeah a whole new experience! Bought my S III on exactly 29/10/2012 and my Note 3 on 28/8/2014.

Worst smartphone ever

Phone owned for less than 3 months

I refused my brother's advice and keep on buying a Samsung except for the other smartphones such as Apple iPhone or Sony Xperia. And now I've to pay for my stupidity. Who knows if a smartphone like this be so bad? I accept that the S-Pen is a little convenient, but the phone feels terribly. In addition, it's always overheat and this phone is full of unstableness. I don't think people would ever want to buy a Samsung phone. Worst phone ever.

Inexpensive, fast, gorgeous phone. If you want a fast and easy to use phone, with tablet like feel, go for it. It's the greatest phone I have ever used.
Even when the note 4 comes out, I will not leave this phone so soon, because it Has provided nothing but amazing results since I have gotten it. Highly recommended.

Great phablet, not perfect though.

Phone owned for less than a year

Very nice phone. Has been very reliable and durable (no case needed), display is awesome, software is gimmicky, bloated and sometimes very ugly, but there are some very nice features as well. Camera, awesome. Performance, very good, SD800 and 3GB of RAM are bit muffled by TW, but you can't really notice it irl. Can't really complain, I've really enjoyed it, but mainly because of software, I'm leaving it at some point.

Phone with an excellent display !

Phone owned for less than 3 months

Phone has excellent screen, chipset, battery life. Audio playback is only good through headphones. Camera's only big drawback is night performance. But the flashlight is good. I also hate the bump at the back because you can easily damage the camera lens.

It's a beast!

Phone owned for less than a year

This phone is everything you could ever want, I was worried about the size but it turned out to be nothing. It's funny how people rag on it about the size but take a look at the S5, G3, Z2, etc and the difference is nothing. It's my first Samsung and so far touch wiz isn't too bad, I did kill a lot of the bloat right way. So far I'm impressed with everything about the phone and I can't see myself going back to anything smaller.
