My Galaxy Ace Style experience

Phone owned for less than a month

Above average for a Mid-range phone. Better than expected. If you can do without the back LED and do not use alot of apps this phone works just fine. All in all a good phone for the price. Once someone figures out a way to root this device and you can add virtual ram to it. this device's only downfall would be the lack of a back LED.

Okay, but needs improvment and recalls and feature were forgotten

Phone owned for less than a year

Upgraded from Galaxy proclaim. I gave up my auto brightness and now have to adjust it and worry with it which on my old phone, I never needed to mess with the brightness and I wish I knew why Samsung through this feature away, but was sure able to add the front camera. The proclaim had a light sensor appearing as a front camera, but wasn't and people got disappointed. Now the Ace Style has a front cam but no Auto brightness. What we can't have both? If I turn it all the way down, it's somewhat better on the battery and fine until I'm in the sun, then I turn it up and can see it but I later forget to turn it down and it devours the battery. Instead of having the four touch keys "Menu", "Home", "Back", and "Search", I now have a button for home which is okay, but another opening for moisture and dust to have access to inside of the phone and yet one extra cut out needed for screen protector not to mention, the screen protector is more likely to gather dirt and dust, where the button is. It also makes it more difficult to line up and install a screen protector. If you ever owned an iPhone, you are more likely used to this issue. The search key is missing, so I have to add the Google widget to the home screen instead. I like how they moved the Tracfone Logo to the back uper corner making it lower profile that you have a no contract service, which is worth the mid range price you pay for the phone and when you have a case, you never know it's there where most prepaid tracfones have the logo highly visible. I have found this phone to apear almost idnetical to the S4 mini looking at the front of the two which is awesome, however the Ace Style has no camera flash which is disappointing. The reason the battery life sucks still with no improvement is that the original battery is only a 1500mah (the same capacity as the proclaim/illusion/S2 battery), but the shape and size of the ace style battery differs and is not interchangible incase you're wondering before buying. Some have stated that the phone has to be put on charge every night or the phone at full charge, dies by morning. The vibration notification is extremely unnoticable and can barely be heard on or against even a hard surface without case. So if you want to know when a text comes through, keep it off of vibrate as the tiny motor(s) could have used a heavier weight during manufacturing. The 4" screen beats the 3.5" screen creating more screen space, but keys are still too small for texting unless rotated. However the 4" screen is really not but maybe a MM larger in width then the 3.5", yet quite larger vertically, making it easier to manuver vertically. You have more vertical screen space then 3.5" which you will find so much easier when logging into facebook and having room to tap the log in button without having to hit the back key to bump the keyboard out of the way. The speaker isn't very loud. The touch keys don't light up. This is awful in the dark! Charger broke within 12 hrs of purchase!
