The phone is great, but battery is almost not. Why? Because i have this phone for less than 3 months, and its actually my first android phone and i'm quite surprised that the battery sucks! Mine only lasts for 15 to 18 hours i'm using my phone for music, games and texts.
I'm not obsessed with high specs. Heck, I replaced the Galaxy Pro with a Sharp FX Plus and that says something. I'm not bashing the Galaxy Pro based on what it doesn't have but rather, because what it does have is of AWFUL quality. I bought this phone unlocked and tested the heck out of it for one week. The nicest thing I can say about it is, it's bad!
I know it's getting harder to find a smartphone with a hardware keyboard these days, and sadly the keyboard is one of the few good things in the Galaxy Pro, but don't fall into this trap! This phone has an extremely unreliable battery driver. The phone wil be about to die at 4%, you plug it in, blink and now it's at 12% -- no exaggerations! Same goes for battery discharge. Bluetoth and Wi-Fi are absolutely useless if turned on at the same time -- not that there are issues; they just don't work, PERIOD. There's some sort of media scanner that rums every time you power the phone on and every time you delete a file from the phone's file manager. This "media scanner" will eventually erase all of you MP4 videos, without asking for your consent and without allowing you to cancel the operation. The camera doesn't understand the concept of white balance. When an incoming call comes in, you can't silence the ringer with the volume keys unlike any other phone I've ever had. A lot of apps in the Market are incompatible with this phone's depressing screen -- QVGA should be banned for life from this planet. Should I go on?
I'm returning the Galaxy Pro to the retailer and I seriously think no one should ever buy it.
I am really impressed wit the way Samsung has made this phone. It is really nice to hav both Qwerty and Touch in the same device. It works fast bcz it has a decent 800Mhz processor. The internet browser is kinda confusing in the start but u will slowly get used to it.
The lack of Multi-touch has clearly been seen in the phone. Really dissapointed with that. It also has a low screen resolution but u wont feel it bcz if has a small screen but it is can be noticed when gaming and internet browsing.
The camera takes good photos but videos are little dissapointing. The lack of flash is sad too.
The mobile is very thin and solid in hand. The battery is dissapoiting bcz it doesnt last really long as other andriod phones. The andriod market provides with some amazing apps and games.
the good things in a single phone (touchscreen + physical keyboard).
SCREEN: Let's just say the screen was almost illegible with some applications. Downloading font packs helped to some degree but any widgets that try to pack alot of information on the screen will look REALLY bad. The Twidroyd widget was a good example. Also, certain apps only open sideways because of the vertical screen size. The Speedtest.net app and Doodle Jump both opened sideways and can't be re-oriented, which is not at all desireable on a portrait qwerty device. If you've seen an LG Optimus' screen quality, imagine a phone whose screen is EVEN WORSE. It's hard to describe but it's BAD.

It has xcellent build quality and keyboard. Even not yet seen have this form of QWERTY board in BlackBerry and Nokia. But specs are moderate. And it can compare with BlackBerry curve 9300 and Nokia E5. We expect from samsung to released new handset in this form with high specs like BlackBerry 9900...................................................................................................................................................................................................................
The form factor is great and I had high hopes for this device - until I turned it on!

KEYBOARD: The keyboard is wonderful. It's huge. Almost comically large and wide. The keys themselves are enormous and have a very satisfying click to them, although not one that's really audible. For the 8 of us on the planet that ever used the Samsung Intrepid (Sprint WM6.5 handset), it has the same feel. Right up there with the best keyboards I've ever laid a finger on and better than any Blackberry, no question.
BUILD QUALITY: The build quality is pretty low, overall. Aside from the keyboard, the battery cover is super thin, super cheap plastic. The textured back is a nice touch, but they really skimped on the materials here.
SPEED: The 800 MHz processor inside is more than adequate to do anything this phone is capable of.
CALL QUALITY: Call quality was fine. Nothing special.
Great overall phone! The processor speed is great! the width is a bit much, but you get used to it eventually. I would really recommend it for anyone looking for all the good things in a single phone (touchscreen + physical keyboard).
A better camera and maybe a larger battery would make this phone indispensible
