I actually just missing my note 2. It doesn't functioning at all. I think it might due to some viruses hacked in it... but idk. So i'd like to give it a review. What i really love about note 2 was that it didn't get easily break even though it had been so many times slipping off from my hand (might due to its casing design). I sometimes like to throw it on my bed but it went bounced and fell off from the bed. Not to mention but it had an experience where i was having a debate with my friend while my hand was making gestures to stand up my opinion as well as holding it and i suddenly threw it away (bcs of the hand gestures). But still, it worked just fine. Nothing was broken. No scratch at all. Really love the build. Second, i just love how the system worked. Since i am a student, i really need multitasking display apps. Hence i like its multi-window. Its ram was only 1.74gb but it worked really fine when i played heavy games. Plus, i always ensure the ram wasn't fully operating to avoid it from being lagged. Note 2 can only stand for kitkat hence i love the display. Not too bright. Just a bit dimmer. Since im not a professional photographer or a photogenic, so i dont really mind about its camera. However i would like to say that its front camera had a poor quality. 2MP anyway. What do u expect? Next, the connection was okay. No comment for it. I could surf the internet like normal. Nothing special. Well i think that's all for my review. Had no other idea. Overall, i love note 2. Been using it for more than 2 years. And now i have to find the new one. :)
Today is September 20, 2015 and I've had this phone since December 2013. Well, I'm a big fan of Android phones, I see the news about them every single day, and I can tell, I've never had such a great phone (until now). Despite being outdated, having a bloated stock rom and a s**tty build quality, it can still compete with actual medium-high end phones, especially talking about performance and camera quality. However, the best way to take the phone's full potential is rooting it and installing a custom rom. By doing this, it's possible to have the S-Pen Air Command feature (that awesome thing we see on Note 3 when we press the S-Pen button) and some other nice things we see on recent phones. If you do not want to spend much money on a phone you don't care about updates, it's surely the best option.
Needs a new software refreshment btw it's a good phone till now, still beast of a phone as a flagship only a software treatments and it will be awesome, great and gorgeous battery life hoping for an update.
the note 2 is a good phone nowdays after 3 years of usage, a must have if can be bought under 300$ maybe there are other phone better than the Note 2 But it's still a good phone. I have it from 2012 and now, after 3 years i decided to change and buy an LG G4 (because my power button is broken)
It is a good phone for usage. Its battery timing is good in consumption.
Camera is not so good as i was thinking, after taking a picture when it refreshes, the result shown bad coz of its camera pixels and its also effect on front camera.
A pretty great phone, but the size is a bit too big for me. Build quality is average, cheap plastic spoil it. Easy to get dirty, mine is a white colour device. Battery was awesome, can last me for the whole day. Display is big but a bit disappointed because of it's yellowish and greenish display. Camera is great enough. have some lag issues with the UI sometimes . No Android 4.4 upgrade :(
i have always hated big phones, but this one is one of the best smartphones ever, even in 2014, i cant see any large differences between it and the note 3 and s4 with my mother, also it can be operated by one hand, and it fits in the pocket!
this phone is the best mobile ever ... only note 3 is better .... and if we compare prices note 2 will lead also ....
better than iphone 5s ... better than xperia ... better than every single mobo on earth
The phone deserve 100000000000000000000000000000000/10 it is awesome at every single thing the display is awesome the phone is fast like hell and very smooth to use the camera is amazingly good and the speakers are loud
Runs like a dream, with android 4.3 flashed and running Nova launcher over touchwiz, delete carrier apps with titanium backup and get some memory freed up, saying that, RAM usage rarely goes over 1.3GB's, so plenty more to fill up that 2GB, camera is top notch as is battery life, can't ask for a more powerful machine :-)
okay phone for the high price, older version of android (4.1), cheap samsung design, too big, too heavy not practical ,by adding few more bugs you can buy much better phones, don't bye it...................................................
Having had it for an year, this phone definitely feels good with its large screen and good battery backup. However when connected to wifi or mobile network, battery drain is noticeable. Also speaker volume is quite low compared to what is offered by the competition. The camera could also use some more fine tuning.
Already starting to show its age. No major updates so far. Becomes laggy over time. Easily scratchable back. Great camera, even for today's standards. Needs some new features in order not to be too far behind the competition. Otherwise a nice smartphone.
best phone ever used ... best battery life evr... best picture quality.. best for heavy gamers, it is a beast, just wished if there could be a better back panel..............................................................
One of the best smartphones i ever had. Good primary Note successor. Software could be more polished, because is lacking. Hardware is powerfull and enough to everyday usege. Built quality - definite minus.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is perfect for me, even though the Note 3 was just recently announced and will be released soon, for me, the Note 2 is perfect for my everyday needs, games, watching movies, play music, browse the internet, etc... For those who wants to buy a Note phablet, if budget-wise, go for Note 2 now since the price will decrease thanks to Note 3.
However people and site reviews whine about plastic, I fail to see how it's any worse than metal or glass. This phone is perfect as it is. On paper, the size seems scary, but it's actually really great in the hand, thanks to its proportions. I've more than 150 apps installed and I've yet to come across any kind of sluggishness or issues. It's blazing fast, no matter what I do - I completely got off even going to the recent apps list. Huge battery which does last a full day, thanks to some awesome optimisations, even with watching videos and being online all the time; huge display that's joy to browse or watch videos on and really not any worse than its 1080p relatives; myriad of settings that really lets you customise everything; the S Pen is truly not just a gimmick, it's surprisingly fast and precise; the speaker and overall audio quality are really great and clear; camera is more than enough for any everyday photographer out there with its also countless settings. My only issue is the virtual keyboard: with as much customisation as there is, they somehow forgot themes here; the extra row for numbers is great, but there's no secondary keys feature for easy symbol input; actual auto-correction seems to be amiss (I have to tap on the offered highlighted version of whatever I typed in to be applied, as opposed to tapping space doing the trick); multiple languages makes you manually switch between them every time instead of automatically utilising all selected languages. That said though, typing itself is still without problems, so these don't really hinder the overall experience.
Almost all apps run smoothly if anything crashes it's the app itself, like twitter, but the phone never slowed down in every scenario, event, task everything, it's great!
Super sturdy build nothing creaks or bends, very nice. Can get the fastest available signal in the area each and every time, usually it's the networks problem. Calls are great not so loud though just right, but hardly make anyway. Super fast internet, if anything it's the carrier. Plays almost all types of media amazing! Camera shoots every scene nicely except some club scenes. Smooth performance but it's kinda having slight unresponsiveness with Minion Rush whenever i get past 60k. Works each and everyday, texts, image editing, uploads, no lapses so nice. Has a superb keyboard, never attempted to change it. Display is power hungry so i zero out the brightness all the time except when i'm out in the sun. Battery last the whole day of medium to heavy usage, only problems is that it takes a while to charge at least around 3.5-4.5 hrs coming from 10% or lower.
I'ts just extremely awesome, deserves a very high score,
love the battery life,
I have a custom ROM (Aliance ROM), Android 4.2.2,
you just have to root your Android smartphone to make it even more awesome
A Very Good Phone, with an impresive screen Very Good for pPeople Who Take notes or use the Phone for work also Good for People Who like to play or draw, even thow it May seem Too big you Will get used to it
It is truly a phablet and will fulfill the functions of both a tablet and cellular phone. It's actually an extraordinary deal when you think about it. If you are searching for a tablet and a phone then you need search no more.
this phone is great battery life is the best display is awsome buld qualty is really good camera is good is FAST i love the speed of this phone is just perfect desighn looks good as well great everyday usage for this phone i really like it is great for bussines all the galaxy phones in my opinion
Before this, i was using a blackberry. My sister bought a 4s and i used it a few times, it's pretty good. That time i know almost nothing about phone specs and android. I was planning to buy an iphone 5, but my cousin which knows a lot about tech recommends an android instead. I was looking at s3 and note 2. I finally bought this thing on november 2012. To check if my decision is correct i search in tech sites. Now thanks to this phone my knowledge about technology has improved drastically. And till now i haven't regret it. Overall awesome device.
Samsung put too many potential in this phone, amazing display, sound, call quality and hardware.
The main drawback is the camera that could be better for a phone as good as this one.
I would have loved to see a metal casing for the note 2 cuz this would make it the best smartphone ever.
One Of its Kind, Throw Any Game, any app at it........Note II will easily nail it........No lag, No carshes, Smooth as silk, A Gigantic 3100 mAh Battery......a complete package......An Awesome camera......Display that relieves the eyes......A complete entertainer!!!
