Dream Phone

Phone owned for less than a month

I love nearly everything about this phone. The LTE is very quick, and the dual core pushes the phone to have a very fluid and satisfying feel. The ear buds that came with it are pretty great as well. I get a solid 12 hours of battery on normal to heavy usage. It is future proof unlike the razr or rezound which is why I bought it. Its no wonder the Galaxy Nexus has been called "The best phone ever made" my multiple sites.

An average phone, not that great

Phone owned for less than a month

Pick up this phone instead of the Razr, what a wrong decision. Two days after having this phone I already feel I want to get rid of it because of the ugly curve surface like the Nexus one. Every time I look at it, I feel the phone has a bend screen. Also, the call quality is very poor. The earpiece volume is too low for me and it drop calls quite frequently. The UI in ICS 4 are good but not ease of use. I like the 4 capacitive buttons more than just the 3 in the nexus because I feel I am in control of the phone with more buttons than less, althought it is better than some of the Gingerbread phone. The camera is just average and is not as good as SGSII. When try to take a video, I noticed that it shoots at a lower frame rate than the razr. The multimedia is however quite good. Th batetry life is rather poor under the LTE network.I hope I have the smart actions apps in the Razr so that I can use it to save the battery power.
Also, I fidn out that thsi phoen is not as quick as otehr android phoen runnign gingerbread, I lose in most benchmark test. All in all, I am not enjoying this phone becasue I get upset about the bend screen and the heavily plasticity feel. I deeply regret that I did not take the Razr to start with.

Good Device, Bad Phone

Phone owned for less than a month

Now that I traded in my Galaxy Nexus for a Droid Razr my reception is great! I'm getting between 63dbm and 75dbm at one spot where i was getting 110 on the Galaxy Nexus! I must say even though I waiting so long for the Nexus I now wish I went straight for the RAZR. I'm very happy now that I have reception and the call quality is better, the speaker is better, and it feels much smoother when i have home screens loaded with live wallpapers. Yes it's not as developer friendly or dosn't have a hd screen but other than that it's loads better than the Nexus.

So far so good

Phone owned for less than a month

Great phone out of the box. Fast 4G internet. Excellent design.

I've owned this phone since the day after release and so far I love the speed and reliability of this phone. I don't make a lot of phone calls but I use the data capabilities of this phone a lot. Multi-media like Netflix and Hulu-Plus (until they dropped support for the phone) work great and 4G means the wait to start or rebuffer is minimal.

I also use the phone to support our IT infrastructure and do RDP connections to our servers. The BIG screen makes this possible and fast.

Overall I love the phone and would buy it again in an instant.

love this phone

Phone owned for less than a month

Build quality is very nice, while it is plastic and doesnt use premium materials it is still well made,

the reception and call quality very good here in south eastern VA

All the Internet and multimedia stuff is just ridiculously fast very fast phone+great 4g coverage here

Camera takes decent pictures but the thing about it is it takes pictures amazingly fast! Virtually zero lag

UI is great and speeedy but a little lag with live wallpapers

Text input is great with such a large screen but its also very accurate, I make less mistakes typing on Nexus than I do my Kindle Fire

Display is huge and looks beautiful! No complaints whatsoever

Battery life no so great but that was go be expected

Overall I never though I would go back to android after my awful htc hero experience plus I love WP7 but this phone blows me away it is great and android 4.0 ICS is great couldn't be more happy

Underwhelmed by the Hardware

Phone owned for less than a month

My main reason for purchasing this phone was the screen size. However, after using the phone for a few days I returned the phone and purchased the Razr because I was disappointed with the quality of the phone and reception. I expected much more from a high end device.

Pros:
-New OS
-Screen Quality and Size

Cons:
-Phone feels more like a free feature phone than a high-end smart phone.
-Lousy Reception.
-Bounced between 3G and 4G.
-Slow hot spot.

Regarding my comments about the reception and data, I also have a Droid Bionic and Razr that work great in these areas. I also had a phone that did not have data or reception issues.

Wow!

Phone owned for less than a month

So far i LOVE it! It is quick and has absolutely NO bloatware. I waited for this phone for months and it was well worth the wait! I'm glad I went with this instead of the Motorola Razr. There is no comparison! Absolutely LOVE it! I had the Bionic for 5 days then returned it and the Droid X before that. Nothing but PROBLEMS with Motorola! Very happy with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus!
