Samsung Droid Charge Specs

Got this phone from Costco right before Verizon ditched the unlimited data plan. No complaints about the data speed it was fast but the processor, memory, graphics and just about everything else was very dated even when it came out brand new. This phone replaced my HTC Incrediable and i was dissapointed with it almost from day 1. Obviously Samsung was pushing to get Verizon a 4G phone before they had the hardware ready.

ROOT this smartphone at all costs. Go to the droid charge forum website. Find the rooting and rom- how to manuals. It is a smooth running phone. Just got to tweak it. It has pretty sturdy hardware. I have dropped this phone about 7 times. No cracks, but one tiny dent on the corner. I never used any screen protecters and do not have any scratches. Very lightweight phone. Go to ebay and buy a couple larger phone batteries up to 3600 mah. Buy a Yiboyuan universal battery charger. Make sure you get the modified back cover for larger batteries. This phone on simple low power settings will last three days. Use the battery charger and you will never be stuck next to a wall ever again. The freedom of not even caring how low your battery gets is great. Just change the battery and get on with life. DO NOT EVER CHAIN YOURSELF TO A WALL WITH A PLUG IN CHARGER. It is 2015 and I still use this phone.I had it since it came out. Cause it works when I need it. It does take some upkeep. but this phone is old. I do not recommend using more than three to four apps at a time. Its core will get the job done. but it can lag if you push it too far. My next phone will have an octocore, quite a jump. I have no problem waiting.

Battery Life sucks, it freezes, text messages take forever to send, and it takes too long to dial out, when i first got the phone i was super happy that i finally got a smart phone but after a couple of months it started to act up..the keyboard would stop working so i would have to keep closing the text messaging app and opening it again just to send ONE message. i would get so frustrated to the point where i don't even use my phone at all...only if i really need to. this phone has put a sour taste in my mouth for all androids and that's why im switching to apple
