N8licious

Phone owned for less than a month

The build quality, usb on the go,hdmi, camera, xenon flash, amoled screen, every thing is Well made.Even the iphone cannot beat the build qualiry of the n8.The only flaw which i found in the phone is the placement of the loud speaker, when kept on the bed the sound totally gets pressed and it closed to unaudible.I still feel that nokia should have added the Clear Black Display technology(CBD) as it would have made colours on the amoled display look really vibrant better than the regular AMOLED display

Nokia N8 true review

Phone owned for less than a month

The Nokia N8; where to start, I guess I'll start with the good:
The phone offers great style and boasts a very good quality feel, The camara is possibly the best one on a phone in the market today, The whole phone is a huge media center plus, boasts HDMI socket and also USB on the go! (this is the reason behind me getting this) ALSO may I just add you can just drag and drop films, i.e. .avi files (as far as I know the only phone with this feature) all the other you need to convert films to .mp4 etc to add to your phone. And I love the fact is has T9 keyboard and also qwerty. The battery is really great on this phone it lasts me almost 2 days, and that is constant texting through out the day and using media etc.

Onto the bad points of this phone:
The OS has to be mentioned firstly it has a nice feel but is out dated I have to admit. The CPU speed is not up to scratch to what the phone needs, also you can not turn Wifi off, you have the option to disconnect it, but not turn it off and means the phone is always looking for WLAN to connect to. the typing of messages is very poor not the greatest for using as qwerty, The whole touch screen experience I have found to be a nightmare with the N8 as its not very accurate. The internet is very slow very poor interface BUT does support Java and HTML which is good, But only if the whole thing works properly.

I know 2 other people with the N8 and both other people have same problems and more. stay away untill they sort it out.

Nokia N8 yeah

Phone owned for less than a month

Nokia N8 is the best nokia phone till date, the build quality is leap years ahead of the god of all phone iphone4,the camera is the killer feature ofi the phone than comes a very unique feature USB- on-the-go.I have no problems with the ui and how is it handle by the and no problem with the processor too as its not necessary for all phones to use a high speed processor. The processor is chosen by the amount required by UI.The one comlaint which i have with the phone is the placement of the loud speaker.

Nokia N8

Phone owned for less than a month

Nice device with superb multimedia possibilities like HDMI, 12mpx camera with HD-video... The UI could be more modern, now it reminds me about old nokia phones like 5800... Build quality is also very nice thanx to aluminium with anti-skratch surface and Gorilla Glass protected amoled screen... resolution could be better also... fantastic phone anyway

I found it best phone i ever had and everything is fantastic with this phone . It is very fast , very touch sensitive, camera exceptional(you just dont need to carry camera), music very good , multimedia wise very good and all others feature.
So far UI is concerned i dont care , you can arrange accordingly your tast and its always secondary to comfort, UI is not so bad as it has been hyped.

best built ever

Phone owned for less than a month

Great phone. Feels like the best built phone ever. Easy to set up and fantastic multimedia. I now use it as my only mediaplayer for my TV. Plays DIVX straight out of the box and supports flash. SW update is coming and brings a new browser, but for now, DL Opera from Ovi it's a good option. Also DL Podcatcher from Ovi for podcasting and Gravity if you use Twitter! I hope QWERTY or Swype comes in portrait in next software update. For some people the lack of QWERTY in portrait mode might be a problem. I prefer browsing in landscape so it's not much of a problem though.

Nokia N8 - The best smartphone produced from Nokia yet - 2010

Phone owned for less than a month

Hello there, i have been using the phone for the past two weeks , and this is my opinion on the Nokia N8 -

- From wikipedia

The Nokia N8 is a Symbian^3 smartphone from the Nokia Nseries. Featuring Carl Zeiss optics and xenon flash, the N8 is the first Nokia camera phone to utilize a 12 megapixel camera sensor size of 1/1.83″, making it the largest image sensor in a camera phone at the time of its launch. The N8 display features a 3.5-inch (89 mm) 360 x 640 pixel color touchscreen, and is the first Nokia smartphone to run on the Symbian^3 operating system with single-tap interaction, featuring the addition of multiple home screens, customization abilities, and multi-touch capabilities with gesture support. Among its connectivity features are HDMI out, Dolby Digital Plus sound, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support; the N8 is also the first device to feature a Pentaband 3.5G radio.

Nokia N8 best smartphone of '10

Phone owned for

This smartphone has the best features on the market. More applications than the two systems hyped in the market (Android and iOS), best camera, best connectivity with HDMI and USB, best radio features with FM receiver and trasnmitter and also DAB+ and DVB-H separately, best build quality, best integration, SIP client. It also follows the successful one hardware model of WP7 and iOS. All Symbian^3 devices have the same CPU, GPU and screen resolution to make it easy to develop for.For developers, this is a dream. It's now free to develop, sign and publish your applications. The software on the phone is opensource, the development tools are opensource.Take no note of the screen resolution. Apple themselves say you can't even see all the pixels in an iPhone4 screen. Then what are the pixels there for? Marketing. They also waste battery life. This is how the N8 trumps any phone's battery life once the screen is turned on.There is a new web browser coming out based on Qt4.7. Read here: http://qt.nokia.com/about/news/nokia-releases-qt-4.7/ Pages will load up to 350% faster. Scrolling and text render is much faster. This is coming very soon. It's based on the same WebKit that iOS and Android use. Web browser is no problem. There is nothing this phone can be beaten on other than CPU speed and screen resolution. CPU speed is insignificant compared to its GPU which is up to 3x faster than iPhone4 and Galaxy S. The GPU accelerates the entire interface and even Flash. Screen resolution is just a marketing trick that sucks battery life.I have to give this 10 as there is just simply nothing that compares.

Nokia N8 zz

Phone owned for

the brand new nokia n8 is cheap.. and it's made of aluminium. that's what makes it has the premium feel. however, i don't like the design. i think it's ugly, and too thick.. The screen is not big enough. I like 4" or bigger because it makes the phone touch-friendly. I don't like the OS too. symbian looks very old and ugly. Maemo or MeeGo is better. And I hate the UI too. The OS feels very slow, maybe because of the outdated processor.
