Great phone, works anywhere in the world when others fail! Had an iphone 3G and 3GS but got tired of the same old thing with incremental improvements. Here with the N8 it has the best camera of any phone, best build and design though the great build does make it a little slippery some times. camera button can be hard to press within a silicone case. am glad i purchased this phone though i do wish the software was a little better. the latest update has made it much better and am fully used to it and enjoying the phone now. Dont enjoy the internet experience like i did on the iphone but not too fussed. Main use is for text messages, phone calls and taking pictures. Everything else is not a high priority for me.

BUILD:beautiful chunk of anodised aluminium has gotta be one of the best looking phones made.material has a very premiun feel to it and Gorilla Glass is fantastic.
RECEPTION: Well its a Nokia device.reception is top notch.No Death Grips here LOL
CALL QUALITY:you will never get a chance to complain about the call quality
INTERNET:the Browser sucks!its the worst browser in a touch phone ever!...But u dont have to worry as there are great replacement for it like Opera Mobile
MULTIMEDIA:the N8 doesnt disappoint in the multimedia department at all. It played almost all the video files formats that I put onto the 16gigs of built-in memory.Music is great as well
CAMERA:there are too many reviews about the camera out there already. Needless to say this is the best phone-camera ever!
UI:N8 runs Symbian 3 which in itself is average in terms of user experience but is plain right boring to some extent.Nonetheless its very functional
EVERYDAY USAGE: I've had the N8 for almost 6 months now and I cannot imagine my life without it.
TEXT INPUT:this is another area where the N8 is a disappointment mainly coz there is no portrait qwerty keyboard.But qwerty is available with next update Nokia has promised be out in a month or so
DISPLAY:3.5" AMOLED screen is pretty decent when u compare it with the competition like samsung's Super AMOLED or Super LCD
BATTERY: the battery is quite average. It should be sufficient for a casual everyday user to last for a day

Its look like a Jumbo.....very good mobile.....Its style is very good........its performance is good....therefore 10on 10........its number........Nokia N8 and Nokia E7 same but one change is One Candybar.....and One Slider Qwerty.......But Nokia N8 is very good Phone.......It S look a stylist,Handsome,uniqe phone......so buy this mobile......

Awesome Phone... Messaging and Web Browser can be improved a bit...
But on the whole Far Far better than any othr phn available ////
And I've using it since this Jan... and Am loving this phone...!!!
And I also Own a iphone 4 n yes iphone has a Better Resolution n a better UX....but n8 dominates in every othr department...

Este es el mejor celular que halla tenido después del Iphone, definitivamente me cambié a NOKIA, para mi es más importánte tener un equipo con toda la liberdat de personalizarlo. Le instalé SPB Mobile Shell y funciona de maravilla. No me gusta mucho el WebBrowser pero existe la otra opción que es Opera. Y para sacarle todo el jugo a la cámara está el CameraPro en la tienda OVI. La mejor señal wifi. Reproduce DivX con subtítulos. Es perfecto.

it was first buggy when i had it but then when they released the updates i LOLd and thank god that i bought this never laged for me after the latest update and camera IS MORE THNE AWESOME and the most important thing i could watch porn on the go ( USB ON THE GO) the screen qualty could be better but its very good atleat dotn get me wrong its not like bad or anything but im a person that have high standards for everything so i think good for me as more then awesome for people and the prices is by far nice then the iphone 4g which is alot more then this and doesnt have usb on the go and its camera isnt even near this one,
my overall rate is this is the best smartphone even hands down nokia wins
P.S give more application to the OVI :D

N8 has got an awesome built quality. Multitasking is awesome. Need more free apps from Ovi store. Portrait qwerty should be included in the next update. N8 has an average display ( according to me, it should be built with clear black display). It has direct Usb on go, which is good. But browser UI looks ugly and no flash 10 support

it is very nice.its camera is so good that i can not explain.its vidio recording is very clear and internet run very smooth 12 megapixel camera is so good that everyone admire itself looking is also beautiful and overall memory is much enough for anyone.no one like it

this phone alomst perfest i faced few bugs at first but after update my device to PR1.1 i am a happy user , Amoled screen is perfect , the camera is the best ever you can imagine in a phone , browser is ok not good as the rest of the phone , symbian 3 interface not very nice but functional and fast , social integration is really bad in this phone .
ovi maps with turn by turn navigation very useful and free
fm transmitter very cool feature i use every day

i have this phone for 5 months now this phone is almost perfect, i faced many problems before PR1.1 but now i am a happy user , camera is great , screen is great but low resolution it could be better , this phone have the best build quality i ever seen and very solid in your hand , many useful application and games arrived to ovi store , i recommend this phone

It has gorrilla glass technology a similar technology like the iPhone 4 tempered glass. Proven to have a good screen and anti scratch(they really test it on youtube with pen knife and keys.)Its really slim good to put in your tight jeans. It feels and looks professionally done. Well made, It has that futuristic look. It doesnt look that good on ads but when u see it for yourself, its sexy sleeky and well designed for a phone that is catching up from all those outdated features. If you like prestigous and more sassy look and cool buy the one in dark gray. It really look luxurious sometimes but its fun in a way. Its quite a Superphone. I have to say its astonishing. The drawbacks, i believe it can be faster i terms of processing and running apps and i believe they tune it down for battery life. Try it for yourself.

I really envy reading the reviews of users as stated above. I perhaps selected an N8 unit which has a factory defect either on hardware or software because with a less than 3 months of using my N8 unit, it was already sent to Manila service Center twice by the local Davao Nokia service center due to total blackout problem. Although a bit happy when it was returned to me after weeks time it was still sad to note that many of my downloaded important personal docs can no longer be retrieved even though some were backup by Ovi Sync. And the most disgusting thing happened another blackout with less than a day duration, so I was informed by Nokia Local Center that it be sent back to Manila. That was on February 12. To the Manila Nokia Service Center, please preserve your company especially the N8 unit reputation by doing what is best to provide in my unit the qualities and capabilities the Nokia Company promos and the many users applauding testimonies about the almost excellent general performances of your N8. Many thanks.

The best camera phone ever... very nice photos, very nice videos... GPS with offline maps for free.
Just the Operation System that is a litte bad.. but the most important feature for me is the camera and GPS so... for me is the best one.

Great phone if not for the software. This is my first smarphone (besides the first iPhone which was kind of crappy) and I would have expected much more. The UI is poorly laid out and there are all sorts of errors - at times cannot connect to WLAN,to Ovi Store etc. The phone has freezed two times already in one week. Hopefully the soon to be released firmware updates which Nokia is boasting about will fix a lot of these errors.

Touch screen responsiveness is good, I don't know why other people were complaining about this as an issue.

Other than that I am happy with my purchase as ultimately this is a mobile phone which allows me to make high quality calls. Everything else I consider extra.

As a phone seller i want to say that this phone is one of the best ! I sold my iphone4 and bought this babe and not regret it ! Very good antenna and very,very good sound ! The dedicated mic for noise reduction is a must for all new devices! The desplay is good - not top but is ok - and the cpu is good for a symbian phone .

I owned this phone for more than 2 months,quite good,it has already become my first phone rather than my galaxy S,because of its greater battery,and a powerful camera which can totally replace my digital camera. This is also my first Nokia phone in my life,cos mostly I've used HTC,Samsung,Sony Ericsson and Apple. This phone really impressed me,if I have to say frankly.

After making dozen of enquiry and spend almost 5 hours before buying it and i found out one similar problem was phone gets hang repeatedly.Then before buying it they said it was released again wen everyone have this same problem and now it works perfectly.So believing them i bought within 15 mins it hangs nearly 5 times.They said will give another piece and i am not ready for bloody symbian os again. I am now very much happy with Xperia X10 even though android 1.6.

back on my n95 8bg after using about a month,,,sold for 18k...with loss of 5k;;;i bought it for 23000,,on 26 october,,camera was good,,battery last till evening,,very poor speaker...almost unable to hear when put on flat surface,facing upwards;;when u put in your pocket you have to put in a manner so that speaker shold face fprward if you want to hear the incoming call,or see as a missed call,no auto redial option...

Nokia N8 is a solid smartphone for anybody. The build quality is fantastic and is probably one of the best. The phone has a lot of multimedia functions that will rock your world. Ovi maps is awsome since you can use it when offline. I'm glad that Nokia is not apart of the Android wagon. Otherwise there would be a very narrow selection in the smartphone market.

Great phone,feels quality,great video and still camera.
Lots of useful apps(though probably not as numerous as apple or android).
UI is greatly improved on previous nokia touch telephones and looks to be getting updates on browser and other items in the near future.
The size of the phone is just right for me but maybe they could have squeezed a 3.7inch screen in but 3.5 is good as well.
Unfortunately the audio jack just didn't work which was a disappointing as I listen to a lot of music and internet radio. I have now to miss my N8 for two weeks repair time, reverting to my old N86 takes a bit of getting used to again even if I only had the N8 for three weeks.

Overall great phone, best at its price range. I have used this phone bit over month and battery life gets better after few reloads. Camera is great, no you can´t really compare it to DSLR, but it beats my old point and shoot digital camera even in dark.
