Phone owned for

this phone is awesome. I am actually an alltel employee and i was the first one to get this phone. The reception, the features, design-- everything is great about this phone. If you want the best cdma phone out there go and buy V710 you will not regret it.

v710 for alltel

Phone owned for

this is a big step for alltel. they had only offered decent phones, but nothing with the features of this one. i heard about its release for alltel from a friend that works for them. it was highly anticipated for alltel, and it really produced the results i wanted. i am very pleased with the phone and am glad with the purchase.

Morizon's V710

Phone owned for

Way to go Morizon! You've succeeded in pissing off thousands of us in the middle class by disabling bluetooh features for your bottomline. Shame! Was it worth it?

I can't hear you now!

Great phone with a bad earpiece and a poor camera. Loved the phone, lots of features, was even willing to put up with the poor image quality of photos taken in low light but the earpiece volume is very poor.

toothless phone

Expensive phone for what you actually get. Bluetooth functions have been disabled by Verizon to the point of being useless. Save your money and purchase an LG for $50. At the end you get about the same performance.

Locked out features

Phone owned for

It is a shame that Verizon has locked out some of the
V710 features. Motorola will probably get blamed for
this action when actually it is a verizon problem.

Trying to make a few bucks on features will cost many
more dollars in bad press and bad feelings with the
paying customers.

If they can change their mindset, now would be the time before the rush to return phones becomes a stampede. Verizon, do you hear the public now.

What?

Phone owned for

What happened Verizon? This phone is horrible...its not worth the price...The camera quality is nowhere near 1.2 Megapixels...my VX7000s camera is better. The flash is a flashlight not a camera flash...the outside screen is useless...please...i think that the positive reviews are from Motorola Reps...DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY!!

great phone

Phone owned for

I am very satisfied with the phone, being that my previous one was a T720. I got it a great price through Verizon ( $165 after rebate). The only problem I am having is trying to figure out how to play MP3's with the phone closed. Is it possible. One of the reasons I bought the phone is to save money by not buying an MP3 player. Also the earphone to listen to your MP3's cost $25.00 from Motorola, if you want to listen with both ears. Anyway I found a jack adapter at RadioShack for $4.25. It works well if it is not pushed all the way into the phone jack and if the phone is open.

New Phone

Phone owned for

My phone is serviced through Verizon.
I have been anticipating the arrival of the LG-8000, however, now you can only get the Lg-7000.
I had a $100.00 credit on my acct that was only good thru Jan '05. I saw the V710 and thought to myself I have to have this phone" after my credit, extending my contract out another 2 years and the $70.00 mail in rebate, I'm paying $160.00 which is a remarkable price for this phone after all it can do. The flash only works for the camera and not the video. Despite, the flash really isn't that bright. The video will not record unless there is a sound to support the video.
The Bluetooth piece is currently $99.00
the video quality isn't as good as it could be.
All and all it is a good phone I'm glad I got the price that I did, however, I do not feel it is worth the full retail price.

great phone

Phone owned for

I think this is a great phone. it has a lot of features (ie. mp3 player, camera, video camera, bluetooth). The only problem I have with the phone right now is sending myself mp3's for ringtones. It doesnt really seem to work so I guess I'm gonna have to buy the transflash card. I guess it'll be worth it. Other then that I really like the phone.

Great phone alittle bigger than I'm used to but still fits my hand well and is very simple to use. Overall layout of the phone is great and it has pretty much ever feature on the market.

v710 Bluetooth

Phone owned for

Just got it last week. Nice phone. I upgraded from a v60c... so quite a change. Its a bit big, but oh well. Very limited BlueTooth services... still looking for some info on this. Its the only phone for the verizon network that I would buy. I like the fact that, so far, I can see the last 54 calls I received vs. the 10 that the v60c had. Not sure what else to say... oh yeah, I havent found the integrated mp3 player or how to use file exchange or phone book sync.

Motorola V710

Phone owned for

The Motorola V710 i have had since March of 2004, it is a real nice phone, a little big but it works great, camera is ok, video camera is nice, bluetooth works perfect, i have used it with Motorola HS 810 and HS 800 hands free speaker, internet is a little sluggish, maybe this will be fixed when the phone comes out, i wish they would make separate housings.
