Excellent phone

Phone owned for more than a year

I got this phone back in early 2020, only recently has the fingerprint scanner failed, and after dropping it probably hundreds of times only the macro protective lens has cracked. Early on I got a scratch on my screen but that was because a tungsten bit slid across the glass and there's nothing that can protect that. But I've dropped my phone on rocks and off of my ATVs without a ever breaking prior. Only gripe is at the time Motorola was the only one supplying a case for it. But I've had the same case and nothing's ever broken with it on, It charges insanely fast with the charger it's supplied with, I think it charges in about 30 minutes from 0 to 100%. And scrolling on my phone all day on a lazy day only until like 11:00 p.m. Will it get to 10 to 14%. I have approximately 86 tabs in Chrome and my phone is never bogged down.

Strong where others are weak

Phone owned for more than a year

What do you want in a device? The ThinkPhone is something a little different. It has a focus on 2 areas that may not be what most think of in a smart phone: Security and durability. On those two areas it excels. It has water resistance and drop protection. It has tools that help you keep your software locked down. Motorola has been real good about updating the security on this bad boy. That keeps me happy. Also, there is a TON of integration with Thinkpad. If you use one for business or gaming, this phone is your jive.

In other more common areas the phone is mediocre. It has a slow camera that is only fair in a world where that is common to be near excellent. The audio is ok. The screen a tad small.

Again if you emphasize something most do not like me, than this is your device. You will not regret it. But it is not focused on the basic user.

It is unlocked and works for all carriers, so you will need to go through Moto for warranty which is not convenient. But the battery and charging is first rate.
