Motorola One 5G Ace User Reviews

As a former iPhone user, this is my first Android powered device in about 2 years. The advancements made by Google and Android are incredible. This phone specifically is OK-Good. It has its plusses and its minuses as with all phones. I feel that there are areas that Motorola could have expanded upon and others where it could have spent less.

Pulling it out of the box I noticed the first con. This phone is heavy. For a 6.7" screen and plastic shell, it carries quite a bit of heft and is very heavy in the pocket. The next thing I noticed were the 4 cameras. Personally I am not an avid photographer, so I fail to see the necessity for 4 cameras. The main 48mp camera does take some beautiful pictures though.

As far as speed, and user-friendliness, this phone could be a bit faster. There is some lag in switching between apps, and the refresh rate is extraordinarily slow. The 5G internet speed is nice. The internal memory is also very sizeable, and if its not enough for you, unlike the iPhone, you can expand the memory to 1TB. The screen is this phones most attractive feature. Its a large 6.7" screen with a very bright and detailed display. Don't try to use it in sunlight though. With brightness turned all the way up, in direct Florida sunlight, I still had a hard time seeing the screen.

The phone also has a fingerprint reader on the back which is its best security feature. After using the iPhone 12 for nearly 9 months I got very accustomed to the facial recognition. This phone also does feature it, however, it is rather pointless. The facial recognition is nowhere near as good as the iPhone. If you are not in direct light, and very bright direct light, then it won't recognize your face. Also, why use it if you have a fingerprint sensor.

All in all, its a very durable, and suitable phone for its price. You won't find many other 5G phones at this price. Also, there isn't much this phone can't do that my iPhone could. Sure there are the differences between the app stores and what's available, but if you're choosing one over the other for app store offerings, then you already know this. I would recommend this phone to the average user of social media, GPS, and texting needs. Personally I would opt for a faster phone with a few more features.
