I bought this back in 2011, and enjoyed it for a little then, but soon found the problems with reception, poor battery life, out-of-date OS, etc., so this is *not* a comparison of an old phone with newer ones. It's just a review that is three years overdue.
I should have realised it was crap about two weeks after I bought it, when it refused to wake from sleep mode, although fully charged, and I had to call my provider's tech support line. With very little delay, they told me to take out the battery and reinsert it after waiting for 60 seconds. Really? Seriously?
This phone is ok for everyday use if you don't play a lot of games. Its pretty laggy, taking pictures is a pain despite the quality. Pictures turn out badly in the dark, and the phone often crashes. Has a REALLY small system memory, only 30 MEGABYTES for you to use, and many apps can't be saved to the sd card.
vey good phone i like it very much excelent smart phone ,The original MILESTONE was the lifeline Motorola MILESTONE XT720 is an Android 2.1 smartphone, ready to take great images with its 8MP camera with Xenon flash. This really looks to be the most camera-centric Android handset to date, especially when you throw 720p HD video recording into the deal. Other than that, the Motorola MILESTONE XT720 seems to be a very good looking handset with characteristic design, large 3.7-inch, 480x854 resolution capacitive screen, HDMI interface, 3.5mm jack, and all other kinds of stuff.
Love this phone except internal memory, everything else excellent........
Touch screen keypad is not that gr8.........
battery I have to charge twice in one day.......
other than that overall phone is very good.......
Slim and sturdy.... Oh yeah do not put any screen protector on the screen..... thats my personal opinion, it doesn't work gr8 with protector........
excelent smart phone ,The original MILESTONE was the lifeline by which Motorola pulled themselves out of their deathbed. And now the once ailing giant breathes again – but is in no mood to rest or make peace. Instead, it’s breathing fire on the enemies.
Motorola had itself a true droid army in almost no time – and the best thing is it’s not an army of clones. Creative designs and rich equipment helped the company make an emphatic comeback, and the XT720 is focused on keeping up that momentum.
It’s not as simple as calling it a sequel – a QWERTY-less alternative of the original MILESTONE. 8 megapixels and a Xenon flash for a physical keyboard is a trade-off many users would be delighted to accept. But the Motorola XT720 is keen to offer more. It packs its punch with character and personality.
