I received the phone August 8th, coming from the Edge+ 2022, and I am very delighted with it. I was reluctant to get one with a curved screen, but I was fortunate to get a screen protector that works well. The screen is very responsive with the screen protector installed. It is a very nice display for a 1080p resolution. It is quite snappy and the UI is excellent. Touch Response is excellent (even with a screen protector) and Fingerprint Reader is Stable. I elected to get a silicone case which makes the phone fit well in my hand plus keeps the thin size of the phone. It feels solid as well.
The one thing I would of liked to see is more than ten ringtones and notification sounds. Zedge enabled me to add some though. The audio on the earpiece and speakerphone is better than the Edge+ 2022. Dolby ATMOS is great for calls and multimedia. The ringer could be a bit louder.
I hope that I receive bi-monthly Security Updates and three years of OS Updates more frequently than the Edge+ 2022. Android 13 is Nice with the few Motorola Apps. No Bloatware! The 165 Hz Refresh Rate is Amazing and my Weather Apps look great. It boots up rapidly even on re-start. The IP 68 rating is a huge leap from Edge+ 2022.
The Battery life both on usage and standby is significantly improved since the Edge+ 2022 but the phone is about 0.3 oz heavier which I do not notice a difference in my pocket. It stays cool even with moderate usage daily. Charging is very rapid with the supplied 68 Watt Charger (or even a 30 watt). I have only used the cameras a few times, but it seems to be ok.
I will continue to evaluate and update here (9/16/23)**
This is an outstanding phone. I'm a sucker for a flagship product but I can usually tell how the relationship will turnout fairly quick. It performs as powerfully and as nimbly as the specs describe. The numbers speak for themselves.
The battery optimization and capacity is way more than adequate. I've yet to go under more than 55% depletion by the end of a verry active day. The 68W TurboPower charger with Charge Boost turned on in settings, charges it all the way up in minutes. This I love. But it does warm up.
In hand this is the most natural feeling phone I've ever owned. But like the previous Edge+ models, it's slippery... Quite slippery. A friend said it feels like holding a half depleted bar of soap. Get Insurance. I couldn't even get a Nite Ize socket to stick to the back. Though this is remedied by getting a case for it. I really dislike all the bulk a case adds. Its slim shape and feel is an important feature for me. The lens array is raised from the surface of the back but is large enough to prevent that unsteady tap, tap caused by an offset lens bump which was a verry annoying problem with past edge models when lying flat.
Personalization options are the usual very helpful Motorola innovations like the old chop/chop or twist/twist to instantly open the flashlight or camera. I use that allot. Not to mention taping on the back while in hand or otherwise, immediately activates/opens/pauses a feature or app. Genius!
