Gr8 Phne 4 Txtrs

Phone owned for

My sister got this phone to replace her LG VX-8300. I would have gotten it, too, if I didn't want a touch screen. It flips open easily, has a great viewing angle, and great voice quality. She got in in Red. The threaded messaging is helpful, as well, and you can put addresses and e-mails in the contacts. The 4-way navigation keys are pointless, though, as you still cannot perform most functions with the flip closed. The QWERTY keyboard is a little small for me, though, but good for her. This phone is a great phone for avid texters and people who send e-mails frequently.

Get A Warranty

Phone owned for

Now, I've had two of these phones both Blue (Not that the color matters) enV3's and with both of them theres been issues. The first one I had I got in August and it worked like a BEAUTY until about mid November and the nthe internal display started messing up and I couldn't see anything when i flipped it up but it still allowed me to text and call people from the outer screen. Eventually I brought it back in, loved the phone and got a second one.

This one didn't last so long, about two week of owning the phone it's now freezing up every 30 seconds making it impossible to call or text anyone more then one line which when you can't do that it no longer becomes a phone, it becomes a transformer. A Paperweight. So, I'm gonna have to bring this one back in cause surfed the net and found no solutions to it.

I like the phone, my neice has the same one and she has had absolutely no problems with it at all. So, I'd reccomend this phone to anyone, as long as they get a warranty.

WORST PHONE YET!!

Phone owned for

I have the red phone (LG env3) and it is the worst phone that i have had yet! I have already had to switch it out and I have to go back to the store tomorrow to switch it out..AGAIN. Whenever i go into my menu and go under my pictures, it TURNS OFF. Then I have to take out the battery and wait a few minutes to put it back in and just HOPE it doesnt happen again. The screen sometimes goes white. The picture quality, SUCKS. I haven't dropped this phone or anything and it is always acting up! My mom has the blue version of this phone and hasnt had any problems. I don't understand how color could make a difference but I might try the blue one. Whenever i try to send a text message, it takes literally a minute for it to catch up. ITS RIDICULOUS. My other phone of this constantly went white and I dont understand why its doing this. I do NOT reccomend this phone..AT ALL.

All over amazing phone

Phone owned for

I got this phone for christmas and it is great.the camera is excelent and takes great pictures and has great features. The flash on the camera and video light are great. They are very bright. The keyboard is awesome but a little difficult to get used to with the space in the middle of the keyboard instead of on the sides like previous enV's. Both of the screens are perfectly sized. The buttons are good sized and very responsive. but one problem i have had with it was when i was receiving a picture message a few times it was almost like it overloaded the system and forced it to restart. i dont know if this is a glitch with the phone that could be fixed but other than that its a great phone.

Phone owned for

This is by far the best phone known to man. loveeeeee it.

Every thing about this phone rocks. the camera is so so, texting is fabulas, and callings are very decent.

Th keyboard is the pefect size to text easily.

The front screen is an improvement from the enV2. It is bigger and you can do more with it.

I give it a 5 out of 10.

Phone owned for

First time in 20 years I stepped away from Motorola and I will take the phone back for another model, maybe another brand.

My work requires me to take alot of pictures and videos of items we have sold or are looking to buy. I have to send them to the office or to customers on the spot. Camera is so so if you open the phone, becareful to not get hand in way. Video has poor sound and is dark. It is hard to handle when taking pics and videoing.

The talk features are as good as any other phone I have had. I have had this phone for 2 weeks.

Don't get this phone if you need a good camera for pics and vids.

The LG enV3 is the best phone Verizon has produced so far. I cannot tell you how much I love it. Actually, I will.

The LG enV3 comes in to slick colors: slate blue and maroon. To start off, the LG enV3 turns on reletivly fast and turns off ONLY when you tell it to. On rare occasions, the phone “has been know” to do this. Not for me! The battery life is very good- I’ve been texting non-stop from 8 am to 5 pm and it just turned to one battery life. When I plugged it in, it charged in under ½ and hour.

The keyboard is so easy to type with. The only problem I have with it is that I hit enter every time I try to hit l. <-- that’s an L. The big screens are another big plus. It is very easy to personalize the menu, font, sounds, and dozens of other things. You have tons of space for contacts, and you can record songs to use as your ring tone. I love how loud it is.

The only problems I have is that the vibrate is too faint, its hard to download music from the computer, and the whole keyboard thing.

ENV 3

Phone owned for

If your using these with a bluetooth like Motorola 710  , h12 or h17 . be aware that when you have a call come in and you missed the call ,  until you remove the missed call your bluetooth will become inoperable. Same thing say if you are driving down the road and you get a tet from verizon telling you your bill is ready, your blue tooth will not work even 911 tell you remove it from your phone. Hands free ??? hands free is new law in some states.   called tech. at verizon didn't have a clue to what to do. sorry.

I have never had a worst phone in my life. i had the enV2 and loved it but this phone is so different and the keyboard is awful. I really do not recomened anyone to ever purchase this phone. If there was anyway for me to go back to my old phone I would because this is the worst cell I have ever tried to use. As soon as I can get a new phone I will.

Not so great...

Phone owned for

I had 4 phones of the Env2, i switched to the Env3 by updating my account. Honestly, the env2 was better about cutting off. I cannot touch the Env3 without it turning off. But, when I want it to turn off, it won't. I don't understand. All of a sudden, my received calls were not going through and it'd freeze all the time. I was in Verizon explaining my problems and sure enough it showed itself and wouldn't do anything correct. They gave me the opportunity to get a new one because "this is a new model and it shouldn't have all these problems." The camera is amazing. But, when you switch it to video, things get darker and there's really no point in recording. It won't let you record during a conversation, and is different in all the wrong ways. I suggest don't bother getting the Env3 unless you want to be like the all the others and have negative comments about the phone.

love this phone!!! ☺☺☺ Very happy with it! ☺☺

Phone owned for

I just got this phone before the school year of 2009! Wow, it is amaziingg~ the only bad thing i can say bout it is that when it turns on it takes a few seconds longer than i would like but that might just be me. This phone is very modern and high-tech but is great for communication. I haven't had one call dropped or lost so connection is very good anywhere.  Great tools like- alarm clock, calender, and recodring sounds to use as ringtones. Love this phone. 10 out of 10.

Don't waste your time

Phone owned for

I have had this phone for about 4 months and I am going on my fourth phone. My first one would freeze and shut off randomly. When I got a replacement for that one (phone #2) it randomly would shut off every once in awhile but not enough to cause a huge problem,.However, within the last couple weeks it just all of a sudden wouldn't make/receive calls or texts. So after three or four calls to Verizon they sent me a new phone (phone #3). Three days after receiving the new replacement phone, it starts doing the exact same thing (not making/receiving calls or texts even though I have service). I know it's the phone because my neighbors upstairs have a new EnV 3 and I used it to call Verizon while my phone layed on my lap and wouldn't connect. The service technician I spoke with tonight tried telling me that it would possibly be two weeks before someone could come and inspect the tower, and thats all he could do for me. Obviously its not the tower. So after explaining that I travel 6.5 hours in deer-infested South Dakota to drive home, he agreed to send me another replacement which probably won't work either (phone #4). I am beyond fuming and sooo disappointed that I spent damn near $400 on the EnV 3 only to have it be the biggest waste of plastic I've ever bought. So, if you love making friends with the Verizon Wireless support crew, then buy the EnV 3. If you have a life and expect to have your phone work when you need it, don't waste your time.

Great when it works

Phone owned for

I love it when it works but I have had this phone for 3 months and I am on my third phone.  I have had LG phones for years and never had a single problem.  Now it is messing up again.  I cannot save pics to the memory card.  It freezes up and I went to the Verizon store and they told me I have to wait for a software update.  It is a known problem with no fix.  Great.  If there was any way of getting away from this phone without paying big $ I would do it.

Good Phone

Phone owned for

Great phone for texting. The phone usually pocket dials too much. If their is a setting for a password that would be nice. The camera is great for outdoor still pictures. The video quality is okay. I love how you can set short cuts so that you cant go on to the internet. The unlimited texting plan is great. I like the phone, but the front screen scratches easily.

Good, reliable phone

Phone owned for

I went from a Dare to this phone because the touch screen on the dare just wasn't my thing. It's nice that I have the option to open the Env3 up and use the qwerty keypad when I want to but at the same time I can also text like I used to on my 8300 which I had before the Dare from the front keypad as well. The buttons are perfect size and the phone is very sleek and elegant, and easy on the eyes which is always a good plus. It is also very durable, I don't think twice before I let my daughter play with it when she wants to.

env 3 is pretty good

Phone owned for

The Env 3 is a pretty good phone.

The battery usually lasts me between 2 to 3 days. That being said i'm not using the phone a whole lot so i'd say average use.  40 minutes of talking and about 20 text messages a day.

The picture quality is very good.
The sound quality is pretty good.

Cons:
The camera is sometimes covered by my finger when I try and take pictures.

The volume on the lowest level is LOUD.  This may be good for some but I get headaches from loud things.

this is a good phone, havent had any problems, durable. the cameras very good but it gets boring after a while. i wish that i had waited for a while because better phones came out after the env3 and i believe this wasnt the best choice, couldnt return it because the box was thrown out

good phone but has flaws that could be deal breakers

Phone owned for

i was really looking forward to this phone and got it a couple of weeks after it was released. i loved the phone itself but i couldnt get over the fact that it doesnt save words in the T9 dictionary, which is a standard feature on almost every phone. and to me a phone of this price should have such a standard feature. another thing i didnt like was that the camera took horrible indoor pictures for a 3 meg phone. my voyager has a 2 meg camera and takes outstanding pictures compared to the enV3.

I've had this phone for 3 months and I'm still loving it. Frome the camera to the browser, 3.0 cam with a flash this looks better than some 5.0 phone cams. If you are looking for a phone where you can browse the internet with ease, check email, blast through a text using the full qwerty keyboard and snap some good picks. Then this is the phone for you. It also has great battery life (over 5 hour of talk time) Halla.

Great phone.   Had it for about two weeks and it is probably the best phone I have ever had.   Great design, keyboard is awsome and it is everything I really need in a phone.  small and compact.  It doesn't feel cheap and it is overall a strong phone that I feel will hold up for the two years that I am locked into.
