This is a very good phone, I don't know why you all are complaining. I asked for this phone when the razr I had for two years finally couldn't work any longer. It's one of the best phones I've had. One of the review's before me said that they had trouble texting on this phone, you must not be a fast texter or you must not be determined to get sat, Because I've only had mine for about four days and I'm already very fast on it, try using word. This phone's features are awesome I think & The camera is very nice. The shine mirror effect is really sweet & useful. I really like this phone alot and I wouldn't trade it, The only thing I would change about it is the volume of the ringtone- It's not horrible like the other people sad it was, but it's not great. Other than that I couldn't ask for a better phone. The shine is a great phone & you wouldn't regret buying it unless you don't feal like getting used to a new way of texting, which really isn't hard like I already said. I think this phone is great for multi-tasking with the side button feature that allows you to go from one task to another without ending the first task. Other than that this phone is crap I like its camera but shutter speed is really slow. I think the Sony Ericsson Walkman w580i is a way better phone

i am very impressed by how well the phone slides and i love the joystick and the amazing 2 megapixel camera i havent found texting that hard but the 3 button seems to give me trouble while dialing a phone number and the ringtone volume is TERRIBLE and it is amazing how easy the screen and battery cover get sctatched the service has been good for me because the only phone i have ever seen get service in my house is the razr v3xx wich gets 1 bar

I bought 2 of these phones when we did our upgrades. My daughter wanted the black, and I got the silver Shine. The first thing we noticed was how heavy it was, but it was cute, so we overlooked that. It is harder to overlook how very basic it is, very few customizations, no shortcuts that you can modify, 3 color schemes that are unimpressive and no themes. No way to make your phone take on your personality. Texting is ridiculously hard. Even if you are a seasoned text-er, you will not master this feature. Signal strength is non-existent in some bad areas, but others around me who had Nokia, Motorola and Samsungs had at least 1-2 bars. I really did not want to hate it, but I do.

This phone is not bad, but it has some things i dont really fancy. A major thing is the keypad. if your a text fend then you need a good one, which isnt this one. its very crampt and you need to press the buttons harder to really get that letter in there, also when you recive a text it automaticly pops up infront of what ever your doing, even if your texting someone else. Its very annoying (i cant get used to it at all). another thing is its picture storage. its not organized and it dosnt make it easy to organize it. Loading music or pictures that are already on the phone takes longer then it needs too as well. you cant really store that much information about your contacts ether. other then 5 number, 2 emails and a memo, plus the name of corse.

i dont want to seem like im slaming the phone, dont get me wrong its got qualitys. the camera is excellent. you can use your phone like a real camera, and the layout on most of the phone is very handy. it looks are very, dare i say "shinny". the joy-stick is handy as well as the mulit-taksking button on the side. but over all, this phone will take you a WHILE to get uesd to

Pros: Great build quality, very adequate feature set, beautiful display, looks fantastic (mine is silver), menu system is really great. Really nice interface.

Cons: Very unfortunately this phone does NOT get good reception. No WIFI. Battery life is just ok.

The first thing I need a phone to do is connect to other phones. If signal strength isn't good, nothing else really matters, it's just a paperweight. I'll need to return mine.

Hi, I've been selling cellular devices for 9 years, since 1999. I've sold many LG cell phones, including very old ones. I know that LG has great quality when they manufacture cell phone devices. The design is very good and is made with fine materials, such as actual titanium plating for the numeric keypad and the back plate. The cameras for camera phones have great picture zooming quality, and I love the forum factor.
Today I'm talking about the black LG Shine for United States AT&T services. It is very great, and I preffer it.

me also got the black version titan. its great but i still dont like the forum factor of lg shine. great news is that me was 7th person, and that was great thank you much lg! i wanted this to come out for 1 year ever since i moved from me country of spain, i knew that we were going to get me this fon! i rate thes a 100/10 because it so good even tho forum factor ok.

the design of the phone is sleek and sexi, i have the red shine. but i dont like about it is that it turns off all the time by its self the stick navigator sticks all the time and the flat keys. im a textn maniac and its hard when the buttons are flat and you have nails. also i can never hear my ringer even when its as high as it can possible go!!!!!

This is the worst Phone I have ever had. I have the Silver Shine and I hate it. This is my 2nd one, the 1st one the bluetooth died completely and would not work. AT&T replaced it and this on is acting up too. Also I get dropped called were I didn't get with my old Sony Erricson phone. In addition I liked my Sony E better because the ringer was louder. I also can not connect my phone to my computer via Bluetooth to download my pictures or my music on this phone. My Sony Ericsoon was much better and Loved my old Nokia phones better. I have only had this phone like 4 months and it belongs in the trash!

The best purchase I've ever made, the most important thing it can improve is the life time battery. It's not bad 3 hours talking and for most of the phones that's an average, besides Nokia and Sony which always have the best life batteries, so if that cell phone would have more life battery and some better insignificant better software , this cell phone would be THE BEST!!! . . .but everything else is ok!!! this is an amazing phone, but is not perfect or as the nokia N96 which is much more expensieve. So it's an amazing for for its price.

this phone is great i have the silver one but the red one looks kool too it has a big screen great key pad the joystick is awsome and its also a music player the only thing is that it scratches kinda fast ,buy a cover

LG shine doesn't shine much at all. Application load time takes a while to load up your music or pictures and the ringer on a incoming call is not as loud as most nokia phones 2mp is good but its the norm for most cell phones nowaday, besides the good looking appearance LG Shine is not worth it all

this is the best phone ive ever had. oh didra says hi. anyways i have the silver one. i love the mirror finish. The camera takes very good pictures and videos. I dont no what people say about the sound quality, its very loud. I highly recoment thisp hone!

I got this phone on Christmas Eve, probably the last one in New York City. I went from 34th St to 59th St and back down to 24nd St in Manhattan and i finally found it at 24th st. A lady came in 5 minutes later after i claimed the phone, that could of been me.

CONS

>Scratches Easily( I wish all phones with exposed screens will have screens that can't scratch, ie- iPhone)
> Key Pad is cramped and need to apply a lil extra pressure. ( This slows down fast texters like my self

I'm over all happy with the phone, the only problem I encountered was a faulty SIM card. It messed around with the connection and the bars were low or not appearing. Sometimes I wouldn't get calls. But i got a new SIM card and it seems to be working fine.

I only wish LG would start making these phones with a battery with at least 6 maybe 8 hours of talk time and sell or upgrade people with the shine already. 3 hours is pretty shabby.

Also, theres no password lock for the phone. On my Samsung D-807 and a crappy Siemen Phone I had, I was able to put a password on certain things like picture, text messages and videos etc. This phone does NOT have that. Only a password promt when turning on the phone.

I personally didn't get the phone but know someone who did and it LOOKS really cool. Polished metal, small size... But the key board sucks for texting people and the ringer volume is the WORST... Even on the highest setting it still whispers... This is a "Don't call me, I'll call you kinda phone" because they never hear it ring!

I have had this phone for a few days now, and can truly say, I am impressed! I had been holding out for this phone for a few months now (just upgraded). I love the look, the solid feel (all metal, front and back), the quality sliding mechanism, and the bright, beautiful LCD screen. The camera is excellent, and the CV, mobiTV, XM, etc. work great! The streaming video is actually smooth and crisp - not choppy like on some other phones. Reception is as good or better than any phone i've used before, as is the overall quality and feel of the phone. Ringers could be a little louder - not sure if thats my fault as I only download my own (free). I have read that some dont care for the joystick controller, but I love it - its almost like a little touch pad, as you can navigate with the slightest touch. I highly recommend this if you care about quality - not to mention that its a great-looking phone too!

this phone is shining so bright i need sun glasses! Mobitv is great, xm radi works and camera is excellent! The camera acually feels and works like a regular camera. The metal finishings give this phone a more sturdy feel. the only bad thing is the price which is 150 w? mail in rebate. The joystick also takes time getting usesd to.

I'm currently trying out AT&T w/ the Shine to see and hear GSM reception...
I've been with VZW for many years but want the new N95-8gb north american...Only out 2 weeks...
So far the Shine is shinning. I love the smooth key movement. It has a great feel and I understand that no Shine phones have been returned...

Considering the price of 140.00 vs 800.00 I may just keep the Shine so my wallet can shine too........n/c :)
