Great phone it gets decent reception and the camera is good too it isnt gonna take stunning quality photos but it is good enough for me. The build quality is great it is nice and slim the internet is REALLY slow due to metro's 1X Data speed however hook it up to Wifi and it is good to go. Even though the phone has a 600mhz processor it still delivers exceptionable performance even with a live wallpaper running maybey a few lag every once in a while but the value for this phone is GREAT. LG promised a upgrade to Android 2.3 but highly doubt it will be released GREAT phone for only $220
This phone is great as a first time Android phone! Its really fluid and the resolution is great. I never have any reception problems and the call quality is really great. The only problem Ive had was one day the microphone stopped working for some reason and no body could hear my end of the call, but a quick restart fixed that. The internet looks great but my only real problems with this phone are metro pcs web, which is horrifically slow and sometimes non existent, and the processor speed. Some games (like Angry Birds) have a lot of movement on screen and the processor can't keep up which makes the screen lag. My girlfriend has the Droid Incredible on the Verizon network and it downloads apps at 1/6 the speed it takes my Optimus and forget about streaming videos on youtube with metro net. All in all a great phone and if used with a good wifi connection it becomes even better. The only other Android phone is the Huawei Ascend, which has an even slower processor and an older version of Android's OS so this would definitely be the better choice
I must say this is my first smartphone, but I love it. I love it so much i get one for my wife.I know that metropcs is getting better ,I was just not ready for it to be so soon. I have been with metropcs about 31/2 year's and we always hear what is coming out or this big roll out, well for now I can say this company is on the move and remembering to give customer the best buy for there for there money and no contract.
This is a great entry level Android phone for MetroPCS. With Android 2.2, it does everything you need and it does it well. I hope to see more choices from MetroPCS in the future. A phone with a larger screen and better resolution would be great. Also, a higher resolution camera with a flash would also be nice. In addition, I would like to see a faster processor, at least 1Ghz. Don't let these criticisms lead you to think I don't like this phone, I do. It's really nice and is priced relatively inexpensive. Admittedly, a phone with the additional features I listed would necessarily be more expensive, so there is a trade-off.
Great Alternative to the Blackberry Curve (I am former user of it), and for the basics of Emailing, Social Networking, and streams Pandora beautifully. Unlike the other LG Optimuses, the design of the LG Optimus M is BEAUTIFUL very pretty, petite, and fits right for my small hands. I normally prefer the qwerty keyboard with real life buttons, but texting and emailing on this touchsreen is NOT BAD AT ALL. And i text fast with no misspells :) Comes with Anroid 2.2 (Froyo) System- Loves it! The internet is very good, and is VERY FAST with wifi. I get excellent reception( New York City) and the call quality is perfect. No complaints and it was great for my budget. Looking forward to see what other Android Devices Metro PCS starts selling. I can't get enough of the Android Market.
