Having had the LG G7 for years and looking to "upgrade" in 2024, it's clear that the G7 is better than most phones on the market today. It's a bit more compact than the giant phones today, which have become over-sized in my opinion, yet it has a better screen than literally anything on the market today, until now in 2024 with the highest-end phones like the S24 Ultra.
If LG ever makes phones again, I'm definitely a customer.
I bought this phone that was an unlocked Sprint phone version G710ULM Once this phone has been unlocked, it cannot receive updates. I am stuck with a version of Oreo from September of 2018 and there is no way to update it. I even contacted LG who basically told me there was nothing they could do because it was unlocked and the Sprint software doesn't allow for any type of updates. I even tried manually to update it through LG Bridge. No success. I am sending it back from where I bought it because the Bluetooth functionality is so buggy it basically doesn't work at all without the updates. I decided to buy a NON-LG NON-SPRINT phone. Its a shame because I am sure this is a great phone otherwise, but this puts a bad taste in my mouth with LGs
After a month of using my ear, I enjoy. It would be much better if the battery had longer life. But working with this mobile is very smooth. Also, I could not find the option to turn on the screen while reading
I previously had the LG v20, which was a fantastic phone, but had a few problems, like thermal throttling and reception issues, among other things. This phone fixed all those problems, and then some. Overall, it's a fantastic phone that's definitely worth the money.
I'll be honest here, I am kind of an LG fanboy. After having a junky Samsung Galaxy Core Prime, I stepped up to an LG V20. I really liked that phone, but it did have a few flaws that I had to put up with. Now that I have the G7, everything that was an issue on my V20 is resolved. It is really just a nice phone all around with great power. My only gripe would be that the battery is just enough for a day's use. It would've been nice to see them use a 3500 mAh battery instead of 3000. The upshot is that this phone charges incredibly quick. All in all, great job LG, I can't wait to see what's next!
Nice bright screen good battery life and snappy performance. Takes nice pictures and has a wide angle lens to get those big shots. Water resistant and mil spec durable. Phone that looks great works great and built tough and two year manufactures warranty. Best phone for the money.
