The successor of the VX9800 (the V) has slimmer body and similar landscape clamshell, dual-design. On the front it has small display and numeric keypad, while opened, the 9900 reveals QVGA display and QWERTY. The camera is upgraded from 1.3 to 2 megapixels, and the slot for memory is for microSD cards instead of miniSD. Dual stereo speakers care for the music experience
