Average phone

Phone owned for more than a year

Had this phone for 2 years. Not recommended. This phone does not do well as it is always laggy. Had plenty of situations for my phone to get out of but it miserably failed. Camera photos with a 2 megapixel gives shots out of focus and bizzarely fuzzy with extreme contrast even after trying to change the settings. Memory finishes out fast after taking 50-60 photos. Also, you can't add songs to your phone. Only takes 2 songs to fill up entire memory. Screen is ridiculous. Need to use a hard finger to tap on something. After 2 years, there's plenty of scratches. Dont get this phone! There's plenty of other phones to choose from at same or even better prices.

great phone for everything but bad battery...

Phone owned for less than a year

Great phone, but still regret buying it.
I regret buying it, because I spend a lot of time on the move, in the internet and listening to music, but with this phone you have to have you're charger always with you.
And due to not having 3G nor WiFi it takes a lot of time to load the webpages.

all other features are nice but this frustrates me.
my friend (he has LG KP500 which is much slower and has more bugs than LG GS290) said that you have to push harder to use the screen but i didn't saw a big difference, maybe because I got used to it.

My opinion about LG GS290

Phone owned for

I've had this phone for about two months and it still works great, it's sometimes slow but fast enough for me, it has great 2 mpix camera it seems slow and makes blurry pictures at night but when there's enough light it works great.
It has built in FM radio antenna so you can listen to the music without headset, but I'd preffer listening to radio with headset because signal strength is better then. I like the option to record radio, then I can always take sample of my favourite songs and ask from friends if they know the name...
It's player is a little bit slow, especially then when you have about 300 song on the phone. but when the player has started it works normal and when player is open you can change the song by sliding finger over the screen. It has handwriting recognition so you can send messages by tiping like with older keyboard 2-ABC aso., full keyboard or by drawing in a box or on full screen, it sucks dough it doesn't support teaching of handwriting recognition... The phone looks good, has memory card support up to 16 GB, has java 2.1 (older phones had java 2.0), it has 3.5mm headphone jack (like on mp3 players), it has quite good speaker though it doesn't support manual equalizer adjusting (preset EQ works good so there's no need to change it), volume with headphones is loud (depending on the current songs volume too) so you don't have to listen to street noises (even with original headset), you can also between 2 themes black with adjustable color or white wich has handrawn alike menu icons, it supports changing 3 menu looks as well scroll between 4 pages vertical by slider at the side, scroll between 2 pages horizontal by sliding over the screen or sliding 4 horizontal lines stacked on each other. it has 7 buttons: volume up, volume down, answer call, end call(on/off), home button, keylock (push) and camera (start/shoot). you can open 4 java applications at the time (tested) and it doesn't break so easilly (things happen), it has 3.2 inch screen and bluetooth.
It has gesture recognition when keys are locked yo can draw shortcut  for mail, contacts, call history, Messaging, alarms, gallery, radio, organazer and reminder.
when pushing home button you can see programs that are opened at the moment or use your quick shortcuts (9 max).
my friend (he has LG KP500 which is much slower and has more bugs than LG GS290) said that you have to push harder to use the screen but i didn't saw a big difference, maybe because I got used to it.
