great basic flip phone

Phone owned for

No longer have mine as it broke a few days ago, but it lasted a good two and a half years and I absolutely loved it. It might not have as many features as some of the newer models LG has come out with, but if you're looking for something that can do talk, text, pictures, and video adequately then this is it. Video feature actually isn't bad at all, gives you a good 40 secs to record, and the camera has a useful zoom option. After about two years the battery life went to shit but replaced it and it worked fine again. I personally loved the flip design although the outer display screen is a bit lacking. A drawback to the design would be that the center button isn't enter, it's some extra feature, which can be inconvenient, and the push-to-talk button is placed on the side where I would always push it without meaning to, but these are fairly minor drawbacks in the overall picture. The phone does warn you when the text messaging inbox is getting full before it actually fills up, which is convenient. Hardy thing: dropped it I don't know how many times and it still worked--so if you're rough on your phones I would imagine this should be able to handle reasonable wear and tear. if you want the texting where it guesses at what you're writing, this phone doesn't have that; I never cared for that feature myself but if you desperately want it the LG CU515 isn't your phone. But a great, reliable flip phone that does all the basic phone stuff you'd want it to; If AT&T still offered it I would buy it all over again.

I've had this phone for 3years now, at first i was pleased cause it had everything but after that it's showing its age and needs to be trashed the batttery doesn't even last me 2 days without having to charge it and that's with just leaving it sitting and not touching anything it's just really annoying you can't set ringtones for your text, it's bolcky and just a pain to have so i'd say no to recommending and yes to a new phone this phone was not worth 250 dollars it's waste for a replacement phone i give lg credit for how long it's lasted and numerous times dropped but i'm now look ing for a new phone and it's going to have everything this didn't even though this maybe discontinued now just my warning  be smart and go for what you want even if it's a little more

Great phone overall

Phone owned for

(This is my first phone, so don't complain too much) This is a very nice phone; while not as nice or high-tech as a more expensive phone, it can certainly do A LOT. It has a solid music player, a good camera, a vast array of features such as a to-do list, notepad, calendar, etc. and stereo Bluetooth. It's also a pretty good phone for texting: not only do the keys have a nice feel to them, but you can begin writing a new message with one press of the up key, you can set your inbox, sent, etc. on your shortcut menu for 2-press access, and it has T9. My only complaints are that it can store only around 200 messages before it complains that your inbox is full and you only have 10 high-pitched message tones to choose from. But it redeems itself by having a "delete all" feature. I could go on, but I have to say this is a nice phone overall, despite minor imperfections.
