While we can argue until we are blue in the face whether quad-core mobile processors are anything to boast about in your handset compared to their dual-core counterparts, it is certainly a great marketing tool for companies, so we can expect more and...

Huawei Ascend D Quad XL has crazy fast benchmarks

MWC 2012 quad-core phones spec comparison
Two years ago we only had single-core handsets, shows like MWC 2011 brought us the first dual-core devices last year, and in 2012 the key word is quad-core. And when we start counting cores, three devices qualify as the best and we are seeing them on...

Techsmart owner tries Chinese "BMW" class phone
Phone owned for less than a month

Just got this a week ago in Canada. First unit sold at the dealer of this model which had just arrived.
Compared it with SIII, Nexus, LG Optimus and RaZR and figured it had the best balance of screen size, overall size, memory (32G SD and 8G internal), and most of all battery size/life. After using it and grabbing several apps, it met all my expectations and more!
Lastly, each of the other high end phones had at least 1 significant downside (or dealbreaker) that did not exist in this phone.

Good phone for the price
Phone owned for less than a month

I have bought this phone wondering if it was better than Samsung Galaxy S3, but it isn't. It's quite similar for a few bucks less. Has the right size, better display and a great battery.
There are no ROM modds around, so you will have to stick with a plain ICS Android.

Simple review of Ascend D1 Quad XL
Phone owned for less than a month

I got it last week. Busy to write a review.exactly, I like it very much!
Quad Core K3V2,Play games smoothly.
Feel good when you keep it in hand since the back shell material is anti-slip.
OS is android4.0.4, But you can have a try emotion UI--Huawei developed for Ascend P1,P1 XL,Ascend D1/D1 Quad XL.And now developing for Honor.
Root easily. I dont like a phone locked..So, Rooted 20 minutes after got it.
Customized apps very little.
You need to install GMS if you buy it from China. Then you can download apps, games from Google play store.
