Durable and using it for 3 years but nothing special

Phone owned for more than a year

This phone has dropped so many times and it was washed away and found in mud, I smashed this phone to the ground and the digitizer glass was broken and I replaced that with a digitizer brought from ebey so no issues with that, so this phones is indeed durable with accidents unlike my wife's samsung galaxy s2. Lack of memory is a serious issue to me and also battery

My dreadful experience.

Phone owned for more than a year

- I have had no positive experience with this phone.

- The fact that they put a lot of integrated applications when you hardly get any space is a complete joke. Memory wise this phone is useless. I only had about 4 to 5 apps and the internal memory was full... they weren't big apps just your average sized app.

- This phone is incredibly weak. It even struggles to load web pages and if the page is to big it shuts down the browser completely. Apps are slow due to its weak processor and low ram. It could be simple messaging apps such as Line, and it lags and closes the app down.

- Small screen is very bad for the user and has a lot of downsides, never buy a phone with a small screen, trust me on this.

I could go on and on about the negatives but I guess you get what you pay for. I would highly advice people to not invest in this phone at all.

Piece of Crap

Phone owned for more than a year

Phone is prone to breaking down. Camera takes ages to snap a pic because it refocuses a trillion times so you miss the picture. Had the phone for a year when basically everything stopped working and now it can take up to 10mins to write a three word text message! Definitely DO NOT RECOMMENDED.

Stay Away

Phone owned for more than a year

Had the phone for 2 years. worked ''okay'' for a year, could play games, internet, music. Then, after a year, forget about the games. wipe all memory, the only thing u can do is play music, but don't text becuase it'll break down. 1 thing at the time, patience people. Internet takes ages to load, DO NOT dowload apps at any cost, it will block.
the fun thing happened after 1 year 8 months, when the 'on'' button stopped working, fell of, and I now, press it with a coin, to get it started.

I like the interface and i'd guess the fault is in the gingerbread and well, the phone is old, therefore battery life sucks. I bet newer htc phones are much better, still not going to buy another htc for a while.

QUIETLY BRILLIANT...!!!

Phone owned for less than a year

Look at the HTC Wildfire S at first glance, you may think it is a puny, crappy phone. But NO...the baby smartphone that is aimed for teens is actually much more powerful. Do not understand what i said? Read on and you will know.
----------BODY----------
The Wild.S(short for Wildfire S) sports a small cute body which fits into most palms, be it big or small. Although it's back cover is kind of cheapy, but it is made of Rubberized Plastic, to ensure you will never drop the Phone anymore. What is great and nice about the design is that it features a 2 tone colour scheme. On the body, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a standby/on and off switch at the top. At the side, there is a volume switch and a Micro USB jack below. on the phone's bottom, you'll find a microphone and a hole to put straps. Lastly, on the back of the phone, there is a 5mp camera, LED Flash and a loud speaker.
----------SCREEN----------
On the minature sized body, the Wild.S has a modest 3.2 inch TFT screen, that is
Scratch resistant. the 180ppi screen is capacitive and multi touch. Screen's resolution is 320x480, which is good for the small screen. Also, when displaying image, it is clear and made the tiny details able to be seen.
----------HARDWARE----------
The phone runs Android 2.3.3 (Upgradable to 2.3.5) and underneath the mini body of the Wild.S, there lies a humble Qualcomn Single core 600MHZ processor. Before jumping into conclusions that the Wild.S is slow, this 600mhz performs better than you think. Minimal lags (1 out of 60 chance). (No Freezing screens). Well, it will lag and freezes the screen up if you run a lot of apps at the same time, but do bear in mind that the Wild.S is just an Entry level Android smartphone.
----------UI,INTERNET, CAMERAS MESSAGING----------
I bet you all are probably familiar with HTC's Incredible Sense UI. In the Wild.S, it runs SENSE 2.1. Yeah, you may think it is outdated, but till today, the sense 2.1, is still beautiful and smooth.
Now to the internet. for a phone with 600mhz, the internet is fast, fast that it can be comparable to phones with a faster 800mhz Processor. And, also, like internet explorer9, google chrome etc on your computer, the browser can do tab browsing too. Also, thanks to sense 2.1, When you pinch to zoom at a text, the text automatically adjusts itself to fit the screen! That is brilliant as you need not scroll left and right when reading an enlarged text.
Cameras.5mp, with led flash and auto focus. the images took are very nice in details. However, everything starts to go downhill when we come to the camcorder function. the camcorder is disappointing, with bad frame rates and blurry quality.
HTC Tried its best to make the QWERTY keyboard as big as they could for the small Wild.S screen. As for me, the keyboard is just right, because i have lanky fingers. However, people with big fingers may find it frustrating and hard to type the ''small'' keyboard.

The Wildfire S is a excellent, cheap phone.

HTC Wildfire S

Phone owned for less than a year

Not impressed with squelching and poor audio quality. The vendor replaced the sim card no change in audio performance. Still waiting for Virgin to do something, we decided to drop this product one the new BB arrives.

Good cheap phone

Phone owned for less than a year

This is a good little phone! It is one of the better phones in it's price range and for it's compact size has a lot of good features. It probably has one of the best cameras in it's price range, (5 MP) compared to other phones which typically have a 3.2 MP camera. It's quite stylish and fits in my hand well. HTC Sense is also quite good. Although, it has a very small internal memory and gets scratched easily.

Don't Judge this phone by its looks- Its far more powerful than you think.

Phone owned for less than 3 months

The phone simply puts a smile across your face when you use it for the first time .But as you start to explore the features , you start to giggle that you have bought a masterpiece , and that good experience continues as its features list put all your requirements to rest , but soon you realize few things that continually dampen the experience of using the phone .

1. processor though apt for average usage tends to hang up on serious multitasking or e.g. when you put on customized themes etc. thanks to only a 600 mhz processor which is why the phone struggles a bit .
2. the screen is ok for the most part other than when you realize that texting is a pain due to the small screen and blokes with big fingers will suffer, but all touch phones are a struggle when typing but the the excellent capacitive touchscreen simply take your breath away by its smoothness .
3. the camera has an average performance with the pictures not quite as sharp as you want then to be and the videos just not up to the scratch when compared to 5 mp cameras from nokia .
4. one thing that really kills the whole experience of using the phone ,putting the small niggles mentioned above aside is the battery back up . you have to literally carry charger with you because on average usage you have to charge it at least 2to3 times a day . that could be a deal breaker if you travel to a place where you can't charge it . But all smart phones using google android os have a dismal battery backup.

"AMAZING" BABY ANROID

Phone owned for less than a month

i have been using thi phone since 3 weeks It’s an inexpensive droid that offers some premium goodies. it has a excellent build and the latest Android 2.3. Sense is a great the screen is the major beneficiary: it retains the 3.2” diagonal but gets a welcome boost to HVGA resolution.
