This is indeed the best phone I have had. Ever. I went from the iphone 4 to this, just wanting to try something new, my expectations were high for this phone because of so much I've heard about it...my expectations were reached, and surpassed...I can't believe this phone is really within my grasp now :) I can proudly say that I am an owner of the HTC Sensation and I will not be returning to the iphone!
i used iphone 4 back , so more apps no working , so heavy , i use less 5 minutes , IT IS SO HOT!!! 48 celsius.......... ...omg
I was fortunate enough to find out Costco was selling this phone 3 days before anyone in the US. Was the first guy to buy it at my local store. I’ve been waiting for this phone since the very first rumors. I must say that I have read some of the negative comments out there and I am one of the very fortunate customers. I have NO issues with it at all. Call quality is very acceptable.
Speaker is very acceptable.
Speed is more than I expected and defiantly Unreal.
Colors, screen and build for me are drop dead gorgeous.
Battery life is perfect. Unless you plan on charging your phone ever 3 days, there is no problem with the battery. If you are the type of person who need to be connected to every social network account, 5 e-mail accounts and have games left open to sync NON STOP then expect to recharge every 3 hours. Any NORMAL user would confirm the battery if more than adequate. I play games through out the day, check e-mails all the time, make at least 20 calls per day and check all kinds of apps and I have about ¼ to 1/3 battery left by night time. I am not complaining. LOVE it.
Pictures are awesome, quick and responsive.
Video quality is very good. At the end of the day even though it records in 1080p it is not a $1000 video recorder. It is a phone.
I would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for style, speed, and everything you expect to have in a very high quality phone.
Sensation is a big step from an Iphone 4.
My dream phone would be the Specs of the Sensation, the battery life and physical body of the Xperia Arc. That being said, i love this phone, just can't wait for rooting so we can use kernels to better manage battery life. Still its battery life's better than the Desire, and quite possibly the Desire S
This phone does everything for you. Great camera. Nice sexy design. Rough clean screen. Nice translitions. Fast. Okay battery and the most important, amazing rent/buy demands for videos/movies. When i first got the phone it seemed a little weird to me. But then give it a week and your on it every second. I especially love the screen resolution. no it looks like a high end android phone.
Went through 2 of these in less than a weekend. 3 knowledgeable reps baffled by this - phone requires constant hard resets to playback recorded video. Showing up with others on the T-Mobile website.
Obviously not ready for prime time. Not being able to playback its own recordings a complete deal-killer.
I can't recommend any other aspect of this phone if it can't even handle video playback at any resolution it records at. A few are getting away with restarts. Do you want a phone you have to restart 4 or 5 times a day to playback your videos? I sure don't.
HTC obviously has at least a firmware issue and hopefully not a hardware issue or their are going to be some pretty upset customers out there.
I'll wait for the Samsung Galaxy S II's to arrive at a carrier.
HTC Sensation comes with a fresh serving of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but it's all about the HTC Sense UI version 3.0 with a touch of refinement and functionality straight from the lock screen. You can choose between a number of lock screen options such as weather updates, quick access to apps and a handful of clock widgets. A 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual-core chipset supports the nice 3D-like transitions in the menu, all carrying resemblance to the ones on the HTC Flyer tablet. The phone is the first with a contoured glass 4.3-inch display meaning that your Super LCD screen is set back slightly to avoid scratches. The resolution is qHD (540x960) with an aspect ratio of 16:9. On the back you have an 8MP camera with dual-LED flash with “instant capture,” meaning little to no lag between pictures. The camera is also capable of recording video at 30fps in full HD (1080p) resolution.
Htc seems to be outdoing itself of late, just in May they have made 1.42 billion and the Htc sensation is one the reasons for this. Htc eagerness to never let down their customers always comes first and Htc itself has greatly helped Android become what it is today and Htc sense has got a lot to do with it. The new 3d UI interface is great for the eye candy that you need on your new flashy phone but i feel they could add more funtionaltiy like maybe the notifications bar could add more features and also i feel if Htc bring in their own multitasking into android then this would hands down beat every phone in the market.
The browser looks great with the 4.3 inch screen and the qhd resolution but my complaint here is that scrolling and pinch to zoom seem to lag a bit, that jagged-ness really does effect the experience. The iphone 4, Windows phone 7 and now S2 seem to have figured it out but for now Htc havent, i hope future devices fix this. However the browser is still excellent with functionality of rss feeds. it feels as if mobile browsing is nearly on par with that of a computer, and i'm sure in a few years it will be
The camera shoots some great still and 1080p has finally become a realtiy on phones. Phew! Multimedia is absolutlety awesome on this device, movies are beautiful and music crystal clear
Now the build quality on Htc phones have never failed to disappoint and the sensation is no exception. Htc is on a verge on world domination and i for one can't wait!
