good but not good enough

Phone owned for less than a year

Please do not wasted your money on this phone as you will end up regretting your choice and if you have a contract then you will be stuck with a dreadful pone for up to two years. Plus the interface is not as easy to understand as some pones are.

Best Android I've used so far, but not as good as the 920

Phone owned for less than 3 months

Let me first say, I buy and sell phones for a living and I have played with every flagship phone out there that is available to the public. So I do have a good background to compare these phones. That being said the Nexus 4 is the best droid (in my opinion) I've ever used. It fits in the hand much better than the S3 and I feel it's much more agile than the S3, which may be due to its quad core processor. It feels nice in the hand and it's buttery smooth compared to other droids I've handled. Google Now is a major sale point to me, if you haven't used it, it basically tells you what's going on around you that you probably didn't know was going on (i.e I'm going to attend a free jazz concert this wednesday thanks to google now) and also updates your gps with live traffic updates. I am GROSSLY upset with the quality of the rear 8MP camera. It's garbage. I upload many pictures of other phones with my phone camera and all of the pictures I have taken usually end up fuzzy and the camera has a very hard time auto focusing. Coming from my lumia 920 it's like scratching a chalkboard with your nails, it's almost unbearable. I swear I have taken better pictures on a 5MP camera. In general I grow more and more disappointed with Android because it has so many little issues that everyone has come to accept. I do NO web surfing with my phone to prevent anything harmful that may come from websites, yet my phone will just freeze up (only 3-4 times so far in a 3 month time span) and reboot. I have seen this with every droid I have used and have never experienced such a thing with iphones or windows phones. Even though this phone packs a quad core processor and 2 GB or RAM, it's no where near as smooth as the Lumia 920, but by far smokes any other droid in terms of speed (except for the Note II). All in all I would recommend this phone if you are going droid, but unfortunately I will be trading this phone tomorrow for a 920.

The daddy of androids..!

Phone owned for less than a month

I would like to start writing this review by saying that this phone is

just epic..! Its the smoothest, fastest and sexiest phone I've ever

used, felt or seen in my life..!

Built quality, design and display - Amazingly built, and never feels

like its built to a price. Feels super premium in your hand and also to

look at, and the mysterious all black front is just epic and not to

forget the sparkling back which will catchs a lot of attention.
The display is just beautiful. Being a photographer myself, I always

loved natural looking displays and have always been fan of LG's IPS

panels and the IPS panel in this Nexus edition by LG doesn't disappoint

me one bit. The colors are natural looking, but a bit more saturation

could have made it a bit better but its nothing to complain about.

Call quality & reception - Never had any drop calls or distortions

while calling. This is as good as it can get, and no complains here.

Performance - Ohhh myyy goddd, this phone is the smoothest, fastest

mobile device I've used in my entire life. The best thing is that the

framerates while scrolling and every single transition in the phone is

just beautiful and simple. I'm totally in love and I being a purist,

sort of, I don't think I'm gonna use a custom UI.
This phone can handle anything you throw at it, be it full HD videos

(mind the supported formats), or any games in the android app market

and this wont ever disappoint you, guarenteed.
Being a Nexus, pure android device, I never expected and crappy gimicky

software features from this device and I'm happy with what this phone

can deliver.

Camera - Well, in normal mode the camera is just good but switch on the

HDR mode and you will be blown away. The difference between the non-HDR

and HDR is huge and I've not seen a mobile camera HDR performing this

beautifully without any flaws.
The videos, well, does the job and thats about it. Under fine

conditions its good but be it a bit tricky and the artifacting is huge.

Never a deal breaker though.

Battery - Gives me a day under moderate usage. 30 mins gaming and some

HD video play back and about 3 hours calling, this can easily go

through a day. I never expected this battery to go long as its obvious

that with a processor, dsplay & gpu like this, the more we use the

faster the battery drains. But the best thing is the stand-by time.

Only 2% down when I didn't use the phone for about 6 and a half hours,

which I believe is just amazing.

Everyday usage - I wanted a fast & smooth device and this phone is as

good as it can get. Its smooth, fast and its just beautiful. Never lets

you down, and you can trust me in this.

I love this phone.

Phone owned for less than 3 months

There are a few things that aren't tens, but it's a 9.5 phone overall. The screen has a weird gradient that took me aback at first but I got used to it. After that the battery can always be better. I love this phone.

My Best Phone Yet

Phone owned for less than a month

I have had all or parts of the screen flash a few times (killing the app and restarting it seems to fix). I believe this to be software, whether Android or app incompatibility I don't know. Not happy that Google did such a shoddy job of selling them and that their store said "coming soon" for 2+ months).

Nexus 4

Phone owned for less than a month

The phone is awesome when it comes to size, performance, design, and other aspects that are expected to compete with the Samsung S III or the HTC One X. My only complaint is the camera is a little underpar in some ocassions (i.e. when light is poor, when background is too bright, etc)

Is Neuxs 4 phone of the year 2013?

Phone owned for less than 3 months

Majority of the people have been taken by surprise by LG Nexus 4, as no one was expecting this exceptional build qualities from a Google/LG phone! Google made it sure that no official site is selling this phone for more that £399.00, except for Ebay, where it's price has been stabalised to £360.00 max, otherwise it could have been well over £500.00!
Feeling wise I've not come across a phone as good as Nexus 4, except for Nokia Arte 8800! which was very pricy.
I'm using Galaxy S3 LTE, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 at this moment, find myself in very fortunate.
It will be extremely hard for Google to come with a phone better that Nexus 4 next up!!!

The Future of Android

Phone owned for less than a month

It amuses me to see both the HTC One X+ and the HTC DNA presented as "alternatives" to the Google Nexus 4. Make no mistake, there is *no other phone* that presents Android's True Colors as the Google Nexus 4. It provides instant protection against quick obsolescence thanks to it's combination of cutting-edge hardware and software. Amazing developer community support is the cherry on top of this delicious cake. Do yourself a favor and buy only Nexus devices from now on. You'll be a happier person. As to why I call it Google's phone instead of LG's, well, it's because LG is to Google as Foxconn is to Apple. This *is* Google's phone because it *is* Google's vision of what an Android phone *should* be. Bless their geeky brains...

AMAZING PHONE!!!

Phone owned for less than 3 months

I've had this phone for just over a month and every time i use it, it never ceases to amaze me! I bought it through the Google Play Store but am still using T-Mobile and it was a great decision! Android 4.2 Jellybean is great with lots of new improvement (coming from Android 2.3 Gingerbread). The build quality is stunning and the design on the back is stunning! Great phone would recommend it to anyone!

Great..but wait

Phone owned for less than a month

I love this phone, its super fast and there's so much new and cool things with jelly bean....but of recently I've seen some bugs. While charging in the wall outlet it says charging USB, that's not too bad of a problem though, the real issue comes with the camera app, it used to work fine until recently now it won't open at all, it keeps saying cannot connect to camera idk if this is a phone related issue or a jelly bean one, but it is really frustrating.
