i love this phone. i am a teenager and i don't care if it doesn't have a camara because i have never had a phone with a camera. the keyboard is very large and easy to use. you can get bumpers for dirt cheep on ebay.
overal it was a great phone but i wish i could get a little more service
No features, no web, no camera, way too much money. Why waste my time? I had one and returned it within a day to t-mobile. Now I have a Slide and it is Wonderful.
I bought the Tmobile Sidekick ID in June and I had no problems with it in the beginning. I liked how the full AIM buddy list loaded and the messaging was great. I don;t like however how there is no camera bluetooth and other important features such as 3G. TMOBILE IS LACKING COMPARED TO OTHER WIRELESS COMPANIES! The service is so-so and could be much improved. I got the phone pre paid and was forced to pay 250 bucks and an extra 20 fir a blue bumper pack. Def. not worth the cash and the monthly fee of 25 dollars for 25 days. I like it but you get nothing for how much you pay.
I believe the last review is incorrect. This phone offers top of the line messaging services, and if you are smart and get the unlimite prepaid plan ($1 a day for unlimited txt, inst. mesging., email, and web services.. you are set. I highly recpmend this beautiful phone. I currently own the Sidekick 3, but am downgrading to the ID since my SK3 has a lot of usage, and the white color is appealing too me.
I use it for business (small) and keeping in touch with my small client base. I bought it for web capabilities as I need to look up things away from home a lot. Although ppl view it as a cheap ugly phone I customized mine in all black including the screen with a hard shell does not look bad now. It works for me and I bought a 250 dollar flip phone that is hyped by t-mobile only to have numerous problems it works for what I need it for.
This phone is like the combination of the SIDEKICK 2 and SIDEKICK 3 with no CAMERA! Those bumbers are ugly and I don't like the feeling of it. Where is the SIDEKICK RAZR, SIDEKICK SLIDE, and SIDEKICK 4? T-Mobile needs a lot of upgrades like 3G Network running, better looking phones, and better coverage ex. Verizon Wireless.
Its just a cheaper alternative for the hearing impaired which the sidekick is really popular with the hearing impaired. I know plenty of hearing impaired people that would love a sidekick but just dont want to shell out the money so this is a great alternative.
The phone is very poor quality. Can get a decent pda for same price. Directed at young an naive that doesn't know there are better texting phones out there.
