Description

BlackBerry Storm2 9520 is the second generation BlackBerry with a touch-sensitive screen, successor of the highly-anticipated Storm. The keys on the front are now touch-sensitive as well, and the screen no longer uses the SurePress technology, which made the display of the first Storm uncomfortable to use. The Storm2 also adds Wi-Fi, but the other features are similar and include a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS and a full HTML browser.

Phone owned for less than 3 months

owned the blackberry 9550 storm 2 , and this storm series (storm 1 and storm 2 lineup) seems to be the worst bb series ever made . i quickly moved to samsung vibrant and im glad i did that . the bb storm 1 and storm 2 touch screens are a pain to use , you actually have to press the screen to assign a command , the mp3 player is having bugs even when updated to the latest version , no multi touch for multi media or web browser , and the swipe for pictures in the gallery seems to be unresponsive at some points , the mp3 player is loud and clear same for video quality and loudness which is the only plus point in this phone , however even after updating to the latest version the mp3 player got bugs all over it . i see a black line blinking on the background of the mp3 player seek bar whenever i'm playing music . the web browser is bad it takes some more seconds than any other phones web browser to zoom in when you double tap a page (this is same with a picture) , and the worst part is it takes like 1 - 4 min to load a complete html web page like yahoo or msn , funny thing is if your viewing a wap site on it it loads quicker . the gallery got no option to create new folders for videos and pictures , everything you add to the gallery are shown in one single location like a mixed salad . im glad i gave up on this device and brought a galaxy s vibrant at last .

storm 2 rocks!
Phone owned for

All I have to say is that it's one of the best touchscreen smartphones ever! I love it and I really love the Blackberry Company for releasing the Storm 2 :) It's awesome and I really recommend it!! The camera is a high quality one and the colours are amazing. I like also the four buttons on the phone which are different from those in the Storm 1. Also the internet is really fast and the screen is designed in a perfect way to be more user friendly. I LOVE the unique SurePress when using the Storm2 since you feel the screen with your fingers when pressing and typing. Well after all this is my opinion on the Blackberry Storm 2, not everybody will like this type of technology. But for sure it is one of the most elegant, fantastic smartphone ever!!!! Btw don't forget to buy a case for the phone since it's more prone to scratches than other mobile phones!
