this phone is a lot better than the rating here. It isnt an Iphone so if that is what you are looking for go buy one. Over all it is getting better. Not perfect but excellent phone , features are many screen picture is great. a little slow at times but so was Omnia i sent back ( two ). Do to all the bad reviews from people who are wrong I will give a 10 but try it out and see if it is something you would like. I like it more the more I use it.

This phone is excellent and i must say i do recomend this phone to anyone who is looking for a great phone but not just a great phone i think that this phone makes it into the excellent reange. The editor who reviewed this phone needs to go back and do his review again because i just got mine today and it has no glitches at all perhaps it is a new software but this phone works soooooo smoothly its nearly crazy to imagine. This phone and i have to say to you iphone lovers this phone is simply better. The camera is outta sight with its great 3.2 mega pixels and flash and also the browser is just perfect. I have never seen such a GREAT BROWSER ever!!! I love this phone i have never had any glitches or not one single problem with this phone. Not only is great on the "inside" but the phones looks are excellent it is very sleek and clean all the way around and the screen resolution is amazing, Way better then the iphone's screen because it clicks and like i just said its resolution is way better (trust me i had the iphone). I am so glad i got rid of the iphone because honestly this phone does much much more. So to all of you with your phones out there that re due for an upgrade and for those of you who do not have this phone you MUST GET IT!!!! no lie i am being sooo honest right now this is an excellent phone.

So everyone is saying that this phone is no good and that it is slow. Well sure it may be slow now but they sayu that in a few months those GLITCHES will be fixed! But as for now i love this phone. The camera is excellent and i have never seen or felt such a great touch screen that of the storms. It is so much fun to use and works GREAT and will only get better with the upcoming software updates. Also the brower is very smooth and is way faster than the iphones. I am glad i switched from AT&T and went to VERIZON to get this phone because it is way better then my old iphone. Do yourself a favor and go get this phone ASAP haha! good job RIM and BLACKBERRY!!!!!!

This phone is so great. The screen is way brighter then the iphones and the enternet is much much faster. i like this phone because it is sleek and has so many things to do on it. Its fun and is a great overall phone!

WOW just got the update and man this phone works sooooo good now. I love it so much it works much faster and smoother wat to go blackberry!!! i love this phone sooo much haha

all i can say is wow... its like night and day in the differences when you get the software upgrade. at first i was thinking about taking this phone back but after i got the software upgrade every little glitch it had is now gone. this phone is amazing and i love it. if you own 1 and are thinking about taking it back go 2 crackberry.com and get the update you will deffidently love it.

Seriously a 5.5 come on you can't be serious. I gotta agree with the 2 reviews below mine this phone is seriously one of the best phones I've ever used. I've probably had about ten phones in the last year including the dare and the vu also have played with the original iphone and the 3g iphone extensively and the storm is just as good if not better than they are.  The editor really needs to rethink his review and use the phone more than a day to get used to it. The click touch screen is no different than clicking a regular button I really can't see how your thumbs could get tired from using it. Really I can't believe the editor even brought that up. And another thing the phone is the STORM not the BOLD maybe you should make sure you know which phone you are reviewing.

The PHONE ARENA EDITOR HAS THIS PHONE ALL WRONG!!!! Come on man are you really serious about your JOB! The guy is crazy because this phone is outsanding i have no clue as to what he is talking about "oh well wow this phone is slow". I have a no problems AT ALL with this phone. The accelerometer works just as good as the iphone if not better and more accurate. Also its very obvious that this so called "editor" did not spend time with this phone i mean this phone works great and the touch screen is absolutely accurate you have to get used to it but once you do get used to it you will find that it works great give the darn phone a chance give it a couple days to try out jeeeeezzzz! The camera is great and how are you going to knock the web browser, i mean honestly that is the best thing on the phone and it is seriously really really fast. Also I have never been able to text on a touch screen device so well the texting on this phone is great and the overall phone is EXCELLENT. There has to be something wrong with your 5.5 rating if everyone is giving this phone 10, 9 and 8. YOU NEED TO GO OVER YOUR REVIEW again. I think that the review editor is leading you to think that this phone is bad! Well i am here to tell you that it is NOT. Look at what everyone on here has been saying its obvious this phone is great. So here is a review for the the review editor! YOU GET A 0!!!!!! redo your review please because this phone is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy better then a 5.5! THE BLACKBERRY STORM OWNZ! ive found no problems with it whatsoever. i had the envy before the storm an i can text just as fast and accurate with the storm. as for durability i have a silicone case for it i got from verizon and i dropped ikt while taking it out of my pocket =(. but it just bounced up a couple inches. still works like new. i suggest you get the silicone case from verizon because it saved my phone! i love this phone yeeeaaaa

 
I've had this phone for almost a week now.  I have to say I was a little worried when I first started using it because the transitions were slow and it would freeze up from time to time.  After a bit of tweaking (read: deleting VZ Navigator and a few other memory hogs) the phone is running 110% better.  The accelerometer is more responsive, although still not perfect, and the transitions are much more rapid.  PhoneArena's review said that the clickable screen made the device feel cheap, but I have to say that I like the fact that I can highlight an icon with a soft touch and then only execute it with a click.  That being said, you will never be able to type as fast on this virtual QWERTY keyboard (the horizontal one) as you could with the older physical keyboards, because the entire screen has to rebound instead of only one key.  I think that the future of this device is in the SureType entry mode, where after a bit of practice, your typing speed greatly improves.  The clarity of the screen is amazing and watching videos on it is very pleasant.  Overall I think that the Storm is reasonably solid, although a tad underwhelming with the software glitches.  Currently, BlackBerry is in the process of finalizing build 4.8 which will (hopefully) fix many of the software glitches that the Storm is having today.

this phone is exactly what i have been looking for. The click screen is great and so is the enternet on the phone. I would have no other phone but this one and i am glad that when my upgrade was due i did choose this phone. The sleek design and excellent user interface make for the most amazing phone i have ever had. the touch screen is very responsive and the screen is also very very very bright and colorful. I love this phone alot and i see that everyone has been saying and the only reason for that is because it is true. I have no problems with this phone it has worked great for me throught the browser, camera, multimedia center, app dowloads and everything else. it truly is a must have phone!!!! WOW IM IN LOVE WITH IT =)

the blackberry storm is an awesome phone. I love this click keyboard. I am a text freak and I have yet to make a mistake. I love this phone way more than the i-phone. Verizon has much better reception and customer service. This phone is for anyone. A working mom, a student etc. It is definitely the best phone of the year in my book!!!!!

I think that this phone is pretty darn good and gives the iphone a run for its money. It has a great user interface and is very consumer friendly. the browser is simply out of this world fast and the camera is great too. The phone is a little heavy but to me it makes it feel solid like its NOT going to break unlike some phones where they are so light that it feels like you can snap them in half. The storm has a great idea going with the clickable screen at times i found that it was hard to use but after awhile you kinda get used to it and it starts to become normal to feel that click. The multimedia on this phone is also great and think that RIM did an excellent job in this area. I would no doubt hands down call this the iphone killer because the iphone is somewhat being over rated i mean the interface is just getting boring to look at being that its the same black background with a bunch of icons and i think that RIM/Blackberry brought something new and excellent to the table, I like this phone alot and when the update comes out it should be even better but for now i like it just the way it is. All together this is a must have phone!

i love this phone so much it is just the best phone i have ever had. I have had no problems so far and i even here that there is an update coming out pretty soon whcih is even better it should make it faster! But any way this phone is just too sweet. It has great looks and a crazy good screen. i have never seen such a nice screen before. And also the web browser is great. I love this phone toooooo much hahaha its just so great. I find that the storm is a great phone all together. it has cool looks and a nice os better then the windos os. THE BROWSER IS AMAZING and the camera is also very good. Many people are saying that this phone isnt good and is very buggy but i have had this phone for about a week now and have not had one single problem. Ok mabey sometimes it is a LITLLE slow but you hae to looks past that and see that this phone is truly a great phone when you really think abiut all that it does. What i have come to find that is very cool is  the blackberry maps it is not like the usual maps on the other blackberrys. In all it is a great phone and i think that anyone who is looking for a good smooth sleek phone should get the blackberry storm!

i went to the store today to purchase a new phone for verizon. i was trying to decide between the omnia and the storm. this was a very tough decition for me. many reveiws i had read had told me to get the samsung omnia but i still liked the blackberry os over windows mobile. after i played with both phones i finally picked the blackberry. i have to admit the stylish phone is hard not to look at but you need to look past looks and perfromance. one big issie i had was with the texting on the phones. the omnia is better for texting even though the buttons are small (wierd huh) and the blackberry is harder but takes time getting used to. the touch click idea is alright but not the best becuse the screen feels kind of cheap when you touch it. it is still a little buggy but nothing that can't be fixed. even though the phone does not have wifi the 3g is just as fast and they make you buy it with the phone anyway

this phone is pretty good although i have found some glitches i would still never midn them beacuse they are supposed to be coming out with a new software for the device very soon. I found that the browser is excellent and also the screen which everything takes place on obviously is also excellent. the clickable screen at first i was not very fond of but with a few days i grew to actually enjoy it. I  havnt had much use with the camera yet but from the few pictures i have taken they have came out very very well and i am impressed. The overall phone is great and looks of the phone is just stunning. I would have to say i would recomend this phone to people out there not only because of all that it can do, its fantastic looks, excellent camera and enabled application download zone but also because it is a solid phone with alot going for it and because it is on the verizon network which we all know is pretty much the best one out there.
 
In closing i would simnply like to say that this phone is an excellent buy and a very wise choice.

The blackberry storm came as a surprise to me. I had the iphone and when i heard of another iphone killer i thought wow yea right you have got to be joking me. So i went and tried it for myself and there it was the best phone i think i have ever touched in my life. I mean the clickable screen is soo amazing and i just could not bieleve how accurate the screen was when you pressed something. I wanted this phone so bad so i ended up getting it and i love this phone so much more then my old iphone i mean not to "hate" on the iphone but compared to this, this phone is just simply amazing and is a phone everyone should get.  One thing i was nervous about when i got it was how is the browser going to work but then i soon realized that the browser is perfect i almost could not ask for a better enternet on a phone because this thing was almost faster then my home computer haha WOW! i love this phone alot and its just simply great you have to try it out and see for yourself why everyone thinks this phone is the best. it does everything and it simply truly is the BEST PHONE!

I picked up the Storm recently and i was amazed by its capabilities. The OS is pretty solid, its push email feature is great for those who always need to be connected and the screen is absolutely stunning.
I think many users who give this phone a bad review do so because they don't know how to operate smart phones. If you don't close down a program after you finish using it then the program will continue to run in the background, thus slowing down overall performance. I usually have 3 or so programs running at any one time (in addition to the core programs that are always running) and i have NO problems with freezing or crashing.
I'm an experienced Windows Mobile user and i can say that even in its early state this OS is more stable than my older WinMo phones ever were.
As for those who say this phone is too big, lets put this in perspective. Its only milimeters larger than the iphone, and almost exactly the same weight. If you want "big" try out the new HTC Touch Pro, that thing is .7 inches thick!!!
The only bad thing i can tell is the accelerometer is a tad buggy. When switching from certain programs it may not flip the screen immediately. This is a software problem however and should be fixed in an upcoming OTA update from RIM.
