With every new release from BB i find the company improving on their last model. This is very refreshing considering that companies like Motorola just dish out the same old, out dated, phones quarter after quarter.
The curve is perfect for men with big hands (like me). I have no problem what so ever typing on this unit. Its full of awesome features and it does just about everything. The only draw back i found with this unit is the volume of the ear piece. It was a little low at times and i would have to ask the person to repeat themselves.
Over all, this unit is awesome and i would get this over any other PDA!
finally...the phone came in the mailbox. even with the 2 week-early shipping, it wasnt worth buying. i unboxed the phone and then i saw that the screen was cracked open to the navigation key. the back of the phone was stained and burnt. i contacted the owner, but he already deleted his ebay account. i paid $130.00 for nothing. tho i did get a new curve
:)
it's amazing. this time i bought it from verizon. its got full html browsing, ev-do support. blackberry layout. its sick.
buy it cause you wont wanna sell it
I just received my 8330 and it's great! I can check sports ,weather, and politics in just a few minutes. I love the Sprint TV feature. I purchased the everything plan through Sprint, so that puts my mind at ease. This is my 1st smartphone, but I did plenty of research. I like the keyboard as opposed to the touch-screen of the other phones. The track-ball is neat also. A must buy! Shop around and find a good deal.
I have been a blackberry user for quite some time. This is hands down the best blackberry i have ever had. It has everything you could want and more.
This is my first BlackBerry. At first I didn't really like it because I wasn't use to seeing so many icons on one screen. But then I got used to it and now I'm addicted. You can go to www.crackberry.com and find out so many cool apps such as weather eye, twitterberry, google maps, and much more. An overall quality of the phone is great. I say that it is an Iphone killer excluding the fact that iphone has the best web browsing. But no regrets here.
This is a great phone! It did take a while to come to VZW but I will say it was well worth the wait. Everything is great! Mobile IM and Navigator really add to it. Internet is blazing fast! Just a lot of fun! Looks pretty good and the phone part (wow it is a phone?) is outstanding clear and solid reception out here in the desert!
I am coming from Treo 700p and needed a smart phone with e-mail, calendar and large volume contact list support from Outlook.
BB Curve seemed like a nice alternative to Palm. After I received the phone (ordered through telesale), I found out that phone shell is not durable at all. It is not that I am planning to drop the phone but I would expect better quality materials than one used on Curve. It is made of very cheap thin plastic than gives way as you hold the phone in your palm.
Features wise this phone has everything that I need but coming from touch screen, I defiantly noticed a difference.
Sound quality was good (just like my Treo); however, signal strength was constantly reporting one bar below what Treo did.
Web surfing was in par with Treo, fast enough for me to retrieve daily news, weather, and a quick search on Google.
I won't say that Curve is a bad phone, but it is not what I had expected from it (hardware quality wise). I am sending it back and drafting Treo back to service.
Unfortunately, Verizon smart phone's lineup is poor and everyone of them has one sort of cons or another that makes me stay away from it. Until I will see something more durable and feature reach, I will be staying with Treo. I just hope that it will last for me long enough while I am waiting for that "perfect phone".
I've had the Curve for about a week now and just love it. It's exactly what I've been looking to get. I had the Touch (xv6900) for a month and took it back because of the lack of a keyboard. Tried the Curve out and am keeping it for sure. The size is great. The keyboard is easy to use, and I love many features the phone has to offer. There's much more on it that I'm looking forward to playing with. I would high recommed this phone. Love it....Love it....Love it.....
This is my second Blackberry and they just keep on getting better. My first was the 8830 and it is a great phone it does a lot of things that I've always wanted a phone to be able to do. However the keys were close together. Not a problem with curve. The keys are a bit further a part so you dont push the wrong key when sending a text or other typing function. It has a longer battery life, however as with most blackberrys depending on how much you use your phone a extra battery and or a car charger is needed. The bluetooth is seems to work well with a variety of head sets (I have three) and there isnt a problem with the curve losing the connection as I noticed with my 8830. So this phone is worth the money and you wont be dissapointed.
If you're considering getting a smart phone, look no further than the Blackberry Curve! This is definitely the best phone I've ever owned. I had the LG Voyager for almost all of my first month and I had to return it to Verizon. I wasn't happy with it at all. I decided to bite the bullet and pick up a smart phone with the data plan and I'm very happy I did.
This phone is most certainly not just for work. It's chock full of multimedia features. Youtube videos play right to the media player. The camera takes pics that rival some digital cameras I've owned! Verizon's EVDO offers blazing fast internet. Email is well, let's face it, it's a Blackberry so email is as good or better than actually sitting in front of your PC. It synched with my Plantronics bluetooth seamlessly and I have had sound quality and signal strength that far surpasses that of the Voyager that I had through April.
I'm not crazy that Verizon had to continue to play Big Brother and cut the GPS capability unless you pay an extra ten spot a month for VZ Navigator, but then I've been a subscriber for years, they're notorious for stuff like that. That's pretty much my only complaint thus far. And I knew it before I bought it so I can't even count that against the device when scoring.
This phone gets a 10 out of 10 and I can honestly see myself owning Blackberries from now on.
This is my very first Blackberry and I love it. The size is just right and the feel of the keyboard is great. My only problem and it's not related to the phone is that you can't do MMS Messages. Otherwise this phone is perfect and was worth the wait.
I have had 7520, 7250, 8130 and 8830. This 8330 by far is the best blackberry sprint has offered. Only flaw is not world friendly but 5.9hr battery and also coming with 1gb sd card is a plus. I would recommend device to any blackberry user.
