It’s.. something.

Phone owned for less than a year

This iPod, as of 2021, is getting closer and closer to being 11 years old. That’s older then most of the kids who you’ll see with the modern iPhone 12. Regardless, this device has retired, and been retired since atleast 2013 or 2014.
It’s battery serves it terribly, the meager amount of ram causes frequent crashes and lag on games.. etc.

What I like

It’s small, and very portable.
Lightweight.
Good for kids who don’t mind peer pressure and the outdated-ness of the device (somehow?)
Good for music.
Easy to jailbreak.
Good for nostalgic purposes, and as a music player for a car, maybe?
Headphone jack.
Very cheap (Got mine for 20 dollars, and it was in pretty okay condition!)

What I don't like

You may forget it’s in your pocket.
Small display, also, it doesn’t look very good.
It’s on iOS 6.1.6, and we are currently beta testing iOS 14.5.. so you can definitely see that this device is FAR behind.
Crashes on the AppStore and even other stock apps
256 MB of ram and 800 MHZ processor (single core)
Bad GPU
Bad battery, less then 1,000 MaH. ATLEAST it’ll charge fast due to the small battery, maybe.
Even when jailbroken, has massive limitations.

Time for this thing to retire, but this device never gets old.

Phone owned for more than a year

Surprise, surprise, everybody. If you read this review, then you still care about iPod Touch 4G. Even altough this device is completely obsolete, but in my opinion, this is one of the most legendary device I ever used, and Steve Jobs is the one who introduce it. Back in 2013 I always use this device mostly for musics, videos, and not to mention about gaming.

1st Generation Retina display (Still beautiful until today's standards!)
Very slim design
Minimalistic design
Can get your easy job done
Has a headphone jack (Hehehe)
Jailbreakable
Contains legendary iOS 4 to 6 which still use Steve Jobs' UI design

What I don't like

Unreliable Home Button
Poor camera quality
Uses proprietary charging cable
Small speakers
Lack of GPS
iTunes is the only way to transfer data between PC and the iPod Touch
OBSOLETE

One of the worst tech products I ever owned.

Phone owned for more than a year

This thing stopped working properly only a few months after I bought it. I would expect the heap of money I paid for it 5 years ago for a then seemingly quality product and it made me hate Apple. I could be over-critical, but that is the result of a horrible experience with this device.
