because of the faster processor and the ram. I don't worry about any apps crashing because I run out of memory. I'm very happy with this iPhone and I have all 3 generations. iPhone is the best phone I have ever had.
Great phone ... no complains .... a lot of new little things but that matter
I am a verizon customer who has bought both 3g and 3gs. I tried touch pro, Storm, and kept an Omnia.Which I no longer use because If i am going to pay for data I want to be able to use it.The 3gs is all that and more . Better camera, Much faster, Quality of phone in all areas. I will keep paying two phone bills till Verizon gives me a phone like this....Don't tell me pre it doesnt come close.I love this phone. Wish all friends and family would switch then I would drop Verizon.I can't believe anyone would not think this is even better than 3g.
this phone is very good i got it the day it came out i had the previous version the 3g and i noticed this one goes much faster in the way it processes informationa and whatnot but i deffinetly recomend this phone to everybody on the at&t network
One of the best smartphones I've ever owned. Read the pros and cons.
i have to be "connected" everywhere i go and this helps me do just that. never owned a smartphone until this one but i've played around with plenty at the restaurant i work at. mostly different versions of blackberries and no palms. the keyboard was very difficult to use and i could not for the life of me figure out how to get to the symbols.
the iphone's virtual keyboard is just perfect for me because it allows the phone to remain very thin and retain it's sleekness. i can type faster on this than i could on a regular phone (non-touchscreen).
would definitely recommend it to people who can afford a high priced plan. it's worth every penny.
The design of this is just sexy. Never owned the 3G, in fact, I switched from Verizon and their crippled phones (phones are now less crippled, I know). I had an iPod Touch 2G and bought about 200$ worth of apps (and I also jailbroke my iPod Touch to test apps before I bought them, support developers!) so going to the iPhone 3GS was a logical move. It has all the features I need, phone, threaded messaging, AWESOME -if not the greatest (haven't played with the Pre yet)- mobile browser, wide app store, iPod, video, the list just goes on and on. Performance was amazing. I compared it to my iPod Touch and it just blew it away. Opening apps is much faster. I always charge my phone at night and I can get through a day just fine with a heavy usage, although I'm usually at or below 20%. Though when you first get a phone, you play around with it more so time will tell how good battery is for a normal user. All in all, this is the best phone I've had to date. I know people are comparing this to the Pre or the Pre to the iPhone but I simply don't have much information on the Pre to determine anything. But I definitely heard that the Pre could be a possible iPhone killer (it also says alot that people have to refer to other phones as an 'iPhone Killer')I'm extremely happy with my purchase and will never go back to Verizon until they get the iPhone on their upcoming 4G LTE.
I love this phone! I am a MAC user so I find the interface friendly and easy to navigate. I am kind of disappointed about not having MMS right off the bat, but I'll survive a month until AT&T gets their stuff together and offers it. I like the camera and recording videos and editing is a nice feature as well. I do wish battery life was better. This is my first iPhone and they said battery life is improved. I'd hate to see what the older iPhones get for battery power. Irregardless, this is a great phone and has lots of storage. The graphics on this phone are awesome which makes game playing and video watching a joy.
I've been a long time Windows Mobile fan, but I've gotten tired of downloading new ROMs to fix bugs all the time and how clunky it has been. Not to mention most of the time it took one too many steps to do something you wanted. I decided to get my first iPhone this year since OS 3.0 filled in the gaps I require for a business phone. I wanted something different. Well, I am so glad I went with the iPhone 3G[S] as my first one. Everything about it is sleak, fast, smooth, and easy. There really is nothing I can't do on the iPhone now that I couldn't do on WMobile. For a non WVGA screen it is excellent. I am coming from the HTC Touch HD, which has a higher res WVGA screen, but the quality and color on the iPhone is better. The Touch HD only beats the iPhone on resolution alone and to be honest TouchFlo3D actually makes all wallpaper images VGA size when you appy them. Unless you want to run the Windows 6.5 plugin which is ugly your not getting the full WVGA res of the HD. Plus when you pull up the opera browser on the HD you cannot read any text on it until you zoom in. The iPhone you can read text in safari without zooming in.
But the real joy of the iPhone to me is the ease of use, speed, and entertainment factor that goes along with the business side of it. It's actually fun to use and your not ready to smash the phone into the wall like sometimes with Windows Mobile.
Im so freakin excited about the Iphone 3G S! Yeah we thought it was going to be a million times better than the 3G with maybe a matte back finsh Like those pictures floating around on the net, or with a front camera for video chatting purposes, or even with some sort of HD capabilities, but come on get real. Apple is a billon dollar company and how do you think they got that way.........? I'll tell you how, by having the best stuff on the market and having fools like us, by fools I mean consumers. Do anything to get it, like a drug addict looking for a fix. So this is to all the Iphone crybabies out there,Who expect the world from apple. Just be happy with the 3G S until something else comes out.
