An Amazing Afordable Tablet!

Phone owned for less than a year

I got this in December 2016 for Christmas and overall, it's wonderful. The only problem is the Wi-Fi always goes to saved and it's connected but it slows down everything. But, this is a great tablet if you don't want to waist a lot of money :-)

You get a little more than you pay for.

Phone owned for less than a year

The Fire 7 is a glorious bastard of a tablet. It is far better than any $50 tablet has any right to be. It is as responsive as slab twice the price, plus, if you've bought into Amazon's Prime ecosystem, it makes for a capable reader, browser, and email checker (video not so much).

When purchased directly from the smiling A, your Fire will even come preloaded with your account information, making setting it up as simple as pressing the power button and letting it sync.

The downsides, though, are not to be underestimated. this is a bargain tablet with a bargain processor in it, which has been preloaded with no small amount of Amazon applications that like to run in its meager background. Expect lag if you're not an expert android user, and this tablet is best left to reading and email chores, not video or advanced games.

This little guy can also be bought in a 6 pack, buy 5, get one free, so it makes a great catch-all gift, and has been seen online for sale as low as $35-40 US. With support from community resources, it's easy enough to also add Google Play to this Amazon-only tablet for a much wider app selection.

If you happen to get a version with an older FireOS iteration on it, it is also possible to remove the bloatware and install your own hacked Android to turn this into a much more zippy product (still not winning any road races, but easily something you'd pay twice as much for)
