webOS 1.4.5 for Verizon's Palm Pre Plus should go live in the coming weeks?
Waiting by as other handset owners get to experience all of the joys coming along with the update for webOS 1.4.5, Verizon Palm Pre Plus owners are still patiently waiting for the day when Big Red releases that much wanted software update. It's not just that they're missing out on all of the Angry Birds fun, which is only available on webOS 1.4.5, but also with the additional enhancements that improve the experience.
European and Canadian handset owners already received the update back on July 14th while Sprint got in with the update on August 11th. Moreover, Verizon's very own Palm Pixi Plus beat out its big brother by feasting on the update recently on August 31st. However, Verizon Palm Pre Plus owners might be treated to webOS 1.4.5 after reports indicate that it will become available in the next couple of weeks.
Currently, Verizon's very own OTA Update Information page for the Palm Pre Plus shows various screenshots that are naturally from webOS 1.4.5. On top of that, it displays what is expected out of it – such as better Mobile HotSpot connectivity, improved web functionality, the ability to preview ringtones on Verizon's Mobile Web 3.0 site, and an overall improved battery performance. From the looks of it, the items on that list are surely gleaming storngly right now – and we'd bet that handset owners are adamantly waiting for it.
