Verizon's 5G-upgradeable Moto Z3 gets a big discount and cool freebie at Best Buy
The conditions of the deal/s may have changed since the initial publishing of this post.
If you're one of the lucky few people that can already experience the mobile network of the future with Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband technology, you should know there's only one device actually capable of achieving 5G mobile speeds on Big Red right now. We're talking about last year's somewhat inconspicuous Moto Z3, which you need to pair with a special Moto Mod packing its very own Snapdragon 855 processor, X50 5G modem, and 2,000 mAh battery.
Of course, you can also use the Snapdragon 835-powered Z3 as-is, activating it on Verizon's standard 4G LTE network after purchasing it from the nation's largest carrier, Motorola's own US e-store, or third-party retailers like Best Buy. The latter has repeatedly proven to be the simplest way to save quite a bit of money on a 6-inch handset typically priced at $480 or so.
The newest deal brings the Verizon-locked Moto Z3 in Ceramic Black down to $5.83 a month with two-year device payment plans for new service lines and new accounts altogether. That means you'll be paying a grand total of around 140 bucks here, compared to the full $480 retail price still charged by Motorola and $240 over at Big Red right now after a decent 50 percent discount offered by America's top wireless service provider.
Believe it or not, Best Buy also throws in a gratis Alexa-enabled Moto Smart Speaker Mod with its substantially marked-down Z3 handset. That essentially allows you to turn your phone into an Echo smart speaker, normally fetching a whopping 150 bucks on its own. That further sweetens an already awesome deal for a decidedly handsome phone with a metal-and-glass build, sharp Super AMOLED display with relatively thin bezels, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage space, dual 12MP rear-facing cameras, and a Turbo-charging 3,000 mAh battery in tow.
Just remember that Best Buy doesn't sell the 5G Moto Mod, and Verizon requires you purchase both the phone and its boundary-pushing cellular add-on from the carrier to offer you a nice discount on the mod.
