So, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is less than a week away, and it is the event at which the Xiaomi 13 line of flagships are to make their debut. Fairly recently, we reported on a smartphone called the Xiaomi Civi 2, which could be unveiled as the Xiaomi 13 lite.
Well, now we can certainly say that rumors pretty much nailed most of the specs, as a fully leaked Xiaomi 13 lite showcases significant similarities with the Civi 2, which was showcased in China last year.
The leak itself comes courtesy of a German retailer, and even though the product is now taken off the website, a cached version of the page has been uncovered by Fonearena. And the listing contained not only the specs of the Xiaomi 13 lite, but also some allegedly official renders and a price tag. Let’s dive in!
What are the specs of the Xiaomi 13 lite?
Another example render leaked by the retailed, this time in a darker shade.
A 6.55” Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate
Up to 1000 nits of brightness, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support
An under-display fingerprint sensor
Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1
Triple camera setup: ○ 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera ○ 20MP ultra-wide 115° lens ○ 2MP macro camera
32MP selfie snapper
8GB of RAM
Variants with either 128GB and 256GB of internal storage
Dual SIM support, with 2x Nano support
Android 12 out of the box with MUI 13
Dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support
A 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging
NFC Support
Well, well, well… That isn’t half bad at all! The Xiaomi 13 lite was listed to measure at 159.2mm of length against 72.7mm of width, and a 7.23mm of thickness. The smartphone allegedly weighs at about 171g, but even with its relatively small size and weight, it sounds like a really capable media phone.
With such a screen, Dolby Atmos and Vision and a high refresh rate, watching media on the Xiaomi 13 lite would be a delight. The triple camera setup sounds great too, but the aging Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is probably not going to offer the best image processing around.
Still, this SoC and 8GB of RAM is totally enough to get most things done, and is even enough to get some lighter gaming going too. The battery capacity may be just enough for these capabilities, but even if it's not - the high fast charging speed will help out in that regard.
The retailer had the phone listed as follows in its two storage variants:
128GB model - €499.90 (approximately $533 with direct conversion)
256GB model - €549.90 (approximately $586 with direct conversion)
Now, while this isn’t exactly a budget phone, those specs aren’t exactly budget ones either. All that being said, the phone is expected to be unveiled somewhere around February 27, when both the final specs and prices will be revealed.
