Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus are now available with up to $100 discounts
The conditions of the deal/s may have changed since the initial publishing of this post.
While the high-end Sony Xperia 1 is still hilariously (and erroneously) expected to start shipping from Amazon on December 31, the mid-range Xperia 10 and 10 Plus that were formally unveiled at the same time as their flagship cousin have already wrapped up their pre-orders. You can get the relatively affordable, extra-tall phones delivered today by a number of authorized third-party retailers, one of which is offering a cool deal sweetener right off the bat.
Both the Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus are eligible for discounts of up to $100 at Best Buy right now, which brings the two closer to the Moto G7. That's shaping up to be this year's mid-end handset to beat in the sub-$400 category, typically starting at 300 bucks, but similarly qualifying for a list price reduction of up to $100.
Meanwhile, the 6-inch Sony Xperia 10 is normally priced at $349.99 unlocked, currently fetching 100 bucks less with upfront activation on Verizon or Sprint, as well as $299.99 if you prefer AT&T's wireless network and service plans. As for the larger and beefier Xperia 10 Plus, Verizon and Sprint customers can get the 6.5-incher at $329.99 instead of its $429.99 list price, with AT&T subscribers charged $379.99.
It's worth pointing out that you're still looking at unlocked devices across the board here, which you can effortlessly take to different carriers following initial activation... under certain conditions. Compared to the discounted Moto G7, the Xperia 10 remains 50 bucks costlier for Sprint and AT&T subscribers while fetching the same exact $250 price for Verizon use.
Both the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus are available in black and silver color options at these solid markdowns, sporting some very unique designs, insanely tall screens, reliable side-mounted fingerprint scanners, and decent but not impressive overall performance.
