Samsung Gear S3 Frontier in 'new other' condition costs $199 in eBay spotlight deal
The conditions of the deal/s may have changed since the initial publishing of this post.
Apple may have obliterated all its high-end wearable competition with the introduction of an ECG-monitoring smartwatch, but obviously, paying $399 and up is not ideal for everyone.
The recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Watch is undoubtedly the best Apple Watch Series 4 alternative, although $349.99 doesn’t exactly qualify the latest premium Tizen-powered gadget for bargain status.
Enter the venerable Samsung Gear S3 Frontier, originally released back in the fall of 2016 and repeatedly discounted over the past few months. To our knowledge, this has never been available as cheap as right now on eBay, with trusted seller Quick Ship Electronics charging $199 instead of a $299.99 list price.
Naturally, there’s only a “limited quantity” up for grabs at that heavily marked-down price, backed by a 1-year warranty from Quick Ship, and shipping for free nationwide. Technically, the product is sold in “new other” condition, which may sound sketchy, but it simply means the packaging is “slightly distressed.”
The smartwatch itself should show no signs of use, powering on with its factory settings restored, and shipping alongside its original accessories. Besides, if you’re not completely satisfied with how the device looks or works out of the box, you’re free to return it within 60 days, no questions asked.
The best comparable deals we could find right now are for certified refurbished units at both Best Buy and Amazon. Those are around 200 bucks a pop too, but refurbs are definitely not the same as “new other” gadgets.
If you decide to take advantage of today’s eBay “spotlight deal”, you should know you’ll be receiving a fairly large, robust, and water-resistant smartwatch with a 46 mm dark grey case, black silicone/rubber band, and both Android and iOS compatibility. The Samsung Gear S3 Frontier has built-in GPS, a heart rate monitor, NFC support for wrist payments, a decent battery, very sharp AMOLED display, dual-core Exynos 7270 processor, and 768MB RAM. In short, it has a lot going for it at $199.
