Are you disappointed that Samsung's hot new Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ are not available in the US... just yet? Fret not, as the Galaxy Tab A8 is (obviously) still around, and if you hurry, you can purchase the old but arguably not outdated 10.5-incher at some of its lowest prices ever with your choice of 32, 64, or 128 gigs of internal storage space.
Even though the Tab A8 comes with a microSD card slot, making the external expansion of the aforementioned local digital hoarding room an absolute breeze, we highly recommend you go for the top-of-the-line configuration if possible. That's because the 128GB variant is currently on sale at the most substantial discount at Best Buy, fetching $199.99 instead of the "normal" 330 bucks with a respectable 4GB RAM count also on deck.
The 64 gig storage configuration delivers pretty great value as well at $179.99 after a solid $100 markdown of its own with the same exact 4 gigs of memory under the hood, while the entry-level 32GB model is only worth your time if you simply feel like you can't spend a dime over $159.99 right now, packing just 3GB RAM in addition to that humble internal storage allotment.
If these prices or the discounts ranging from $70 to $130 happen to sound familiar, that's probably because they're identical to what Amazon offered for its Prime Big Deal Days event only a couple of weeks back. The crucial difference, of course, is that Best Buy doesn't require a membership or anything else of that sort to grant you access to these killer new promotions, which will however last no more than 24 hours.
By no means an iPad "killer" or a very impressive alternative to the best of the best tablets money can buy in 2023, the 2021-released Galaxy Tab A8 continues to benefit from Samsung's stellar software support while offering more than decent hardware specifications for the sub-$200 market segment.
Those include a pretty hefty battery squeezed into a remarkably thin and reasonably compact body, four powerful speakers, a high-res LCD screen, and an octa-core processor, which is more or less what the new Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+ are also all about.
