Samsung Galaxy S24 now getting April 2024 update with camera improvements
Samsung Galaxy S24 was tipped to receive important camera improvements with the April 2024 security update. Although we’re still in March, Samsung is now rolling out the April 2024 security patch to the Galaxy S24 series.

According to a post on the Samsung Community Forum (via SamMobile), the update also includes some of the camera improvements that were tipped earlier this month. Here are all the improvements expected to be in the April 2024 update besides the usual bug fixes and patches:

  • The camera's white balance accuracy and exposure.
  • Low-light image quality.
  • Color accuracy in the ExpertRAW camera app.
  • Text clarity in high-zoom shots.
  • Support for videos with 480×480 pixels resolution in the Instant Slow Mo feature.

Currently, the update with firmware version S92xNKSU1AXCA is only available in South Korea, but Samsung is likely to expand the rollout to more countries in just a few days.

The update weighs in a nearly 800MB, so it’s pretty beefy for a monthly security update. For the most part, the camera improvements included in the April 2024 security patch address some of the issues that many Galaxy S24 users reported. Actual camera improvements are probably coming in future updates.
