Google recently unveiled Android 12 and the beta is now open to Pixel smartphones (Pixel 3 and up), and select phones from Asus, Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Tecno, TCL, and ZTE. It's still not available for Samsung Galaxy smartphones, which are amongst the best Android handsets around.
Samsung's smartphones will probably get the latest version of the operating system in early 2022, along with the next iteration of its custom One UI skin. If the company sticks to the same schedule as last year, it will open UI 4.0 developer beta sometime in August.
While we wait for Samsung's Android 12 rollout, SamMobile has compiled a list of devices that will be eligible for the upgrade. It's based on the company's Android update policy. For some devices, Android 12 would be the last operating system update.
